On the topic of attendance, Festive Owl and Bonnarooster are saying they’re about on normal pace for this year.
I’m not really sure on if Bonnarooster is anything more than just a fan account, but Festive Owl for sure has some connections.
that's good to hear.
after 2017's lineup i was pretty confident i'd never return to Bonnaroo again, but seeing the 2018 lineup gives me a little hope. I think it is at least reasonably possible that I return to the farm at some point. Give me a year with some good headliners and an undercard that is better than 2017 and I might do the seven hour drive.
The headliners are much better for getting people there than they were the last two years, I think.
shows what i know because i forgot the headliners for a second while i was reading your post. i remembered eminem and bon iver and future but for several seconds i forgot muse and the killers.
Bonnaroo's goal is probably like 60kadding two more headliners and expanding to two weekends these days while getting a good deal on packaging artist bookings with other live nation festivals.

Unlike AEG who has Eminem at both Coach and Firefly. Kendrick at both Firefly and Hangout. The Weeknd at both Coach and Pano. And has SZA at literally every single one of their multi genre festivals (Coach, Firefly, Hangout, Pano).

I’d be surprised if this year doesn’t beat 2016/2017 in attendance. Overall, it seems like a much more respectable lineup although the HL quality has decreased.

yeah, no idea what you're talking about but I'm pretty sure you're agreeing with me.

LiveNations goal for roo is 70k.
I interpreted your "package bookings" remark as a knock at their booking process; which I was pointing out has now become an industry wide standard regardless of promoter. If I misinterpreted then nevermind.

Thank you so much. I was just about to ask when we could expect late additions and our 4th, 5th, and 6th HL's to drop.
The schedule being released a mere month before really fucks with my whole "let's see a schedule" strategy.
I did it last year. Also helps if deciding if VIP is worth it, since only one stage has a VIP pit worth a damn (the hill sucks and is full of geezers).
Bonnaroo '15/'16/'17/'18/'19 - ACL '13/'14/'15/'17/'18 - Fun Fun Fun '14 - SXSW '13/'14/'15 - FPSF '16
2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
Also, the smaller artists being added aren’t the Club Acts, as they’re already on the lineup. Those were the ReverbNation and Road to Roo winners.
Do you know how many of those artists are ReverbNation and Road to Roo winners? Having 140 artists still seems like a lot more than usual, which is why a lot of us assumed the Club Acts were included on the initial lineup.

One of my basshead friends who is going this year said there's a rumor Bassnectar may be playing either two sets or two days, so you guys have that to look forward to.

I’m sure it’s be specified then just like Bon Iver so I don’t really buy it. Pretty sure bass heads just want it
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Surprise Kalliope set or something probably. Or maybe Superjam involvement.

I'm not a fan so I really hope they don't waste another set on him, but it wouldn't be unheard of. In 2012 they didn't announce until a few months after the initial lineup that Phish was gonna do a 2nd set.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Bassnectar fans seem to have a knack for deluding themselves into thinking something is going to happen when it isn't. In 2015, r/bonnaroo and the bassheads had themselves convinced that there was gonna be a "BassLights" joint set with BN and Pretty Lights. BassLights was a festival that those two dudes put on a couple times, not a musical collaboration. Some people tried to explain this to the more enthusiastic fans, but nope. BASSLIGHTS GUYS NECTAR AND PRETTY LIGHTS ARE ON THE FARM SO THEY'RE GONNA DO BASSLIGHTS.
