A little confused how things will work with Bon Iver. I'd say the whole two consecutive Which sets would make sense, but .Paak is too small to pre-HL imo. So, most likely scenario seems to be What pre-HL and LN Which.
I think you're right on this. Bon Iver will probably get pre-HL on What and late night on Which. Kaskade doesn't tour with a huge production so he's fine to close out The Other late night.
I'm glad we're getting this earlier than usual, this announcement is almost as important as the lineup itself. Plus it makes creating mock schedules a lot easier.
Yeah but they could still easily fuck up a stacked day in the schedule.
Can't mess up stacked days if you don't have any. 'insert meme'

Easily the worst Thursday ever. Might as well eliminate the day. I would consider not leaving camp. I'm definitely schedule dependent now. Even more than before this. I'd be hoping to wind up with a schedule something like:
Friday: Westside Gunn -> Japanese Breakfast -> Denzel Curry -> Trombone Shorty -> Chromeo -> Sturgill Simpson -> Muse -> Rufus Du Sol
Saturday: Pond -> Moses Sumney -> Brockhampton -> Sylvan Esso -> then finish off by being able to see 3/4: Bon Iver x2, Nile Rodgers, Anderson Paak
Sunday: Alex Lahey -> Gogo Penguin -> Thundercat -> Daniel Caesar -> Broken Social Scene -> Jungle
A little confused how things will work with Bon Iver. I'd say the whole two consecutive Which sets would make sense, but .Paak is too small to pre-HL imo. So, most likely scenario seems to be What pre-HL and LN Which.
Paak will probably pre-HL just for the sake of convenience. They're not going to set Bon Iver up on the What and then break everything down and quickly move it over to the Which, so unless they're bringing 2 different set ups I'd imagine it'll just be a double-header on the Which

Well, if they do a For Emma set, it's actually possible the set up itself could differ a bit. I don't disagree that it'd be a little odd, though.

I think, considering what they have, they did a pretty good job of spreading the acts out across Friday Saturday Sunday. Everyday contains a few acts I'd like to catch.
Thursday I don't recognize a lot of acts, but that is not unusual, especially since i've done minimal lineup research.

After some deeper thought, I actually think this is the best spread of acts there's been since 2015. It seems like they just said fuck it and put most of the jam-type stuff on Thursday. And, imo, that's not a bad call. Makes for a solid warm-up day. Nothing amazing, but a good time. Then, like you said, they've left plenty to spread out over the rest of the weekend.
I will say that I have no idea what late night Saturday is gonna look like. Bon Iver, Kaskade, CHIC, StS9, and BROCKHAMPTON are all acts that should have late night slots. But unless they switch it back to having two late night sets at each tent again, that doesn't seem feasible. Last year, the other Other had two late night acts every night, but the tents only had one.

I wouldn't even do that. I'm not even sure I'd use street points on it. We make fun but it really makes me sad.
I guess the schedule will count for a lot, but being able to see Bon Iver, Paak, Chic, Brockhampton, Mavis, Pond and Moses Sumney in one day would be pretty solid. But those first four have strong conflict potential now that I think about it.

Best case scenario is Chic on Which, Paak on What, Bon Iver on Which, then decide between LN Bon Iver or Brockhampton
For my tastes, this is pretty well balanced. The initial release had some odd billing order to say the least. To me, the day-by does some reordering that actually makes things look better.
We would have to miss Thursday this year if we go. Last year was a wasteland, with an exception or two, and this is barely a cut above that. Selfishly I’m glad I won’t have regrets about that, but I wish they’d go back to making Thursday worthwhile.
Ultimately, still on the fence, but I’m seeing a way to make this work more than I did yesterday. It’s still a weaker year given all the commitment it takes to make this festival happen.
