First time I saw Father John Misty in 2013, some douche hipster in the front, with his arms crossed the entire show, kept shouting "Why don't you try harder!"
Probably said it 40 times during the show. Luckily Josh didn't hear him.

That's the kind of shit Josh would've eaten up in 2013

Another gem from that show:
Did a Q&A with some down time between songs, another kid in front asked "what do you think of Kanye West"
ok everybody lets not boo amy schumer. just don't be at her show if you don't like her.
and no "but i need to be at teh stage to wait for bon iver so i have to listen to her" or whatever. you are on vacation, calm the fuck down. put in earplugs or headphones if her voice is so offensive to you.
Haha fair play.
I did say previously I don’t dig Amy Shumer. With that said, if she was performing on a stage I found myself waiting at for an upcoming act, I’d still listen and see if she had some good bits. Wouldn’t disrupt or or take away from anyone else.

As someone who witnessed the 2008 Kanye debacle and was still excited for the 2014 set it really bugged me and hurt the show to have so many people heckling and booing in the crowd. And I'm not even talking about in the pit or close up. There were people who just kept laughing/cracking jokes and I had to move multiple times throughout the field just to try and tune others out and enjoy the show.
Don't be the person who shows up/sticks around just to be an asshole to the act.
I had never watched Tash Sultana live until this Tiny Desk show. Suddenly a must-see for me. She'd be a cool late-night set for something different opposing all the EDM. She's placed high enough and there aren't many obvious choices for LN Friday, so it's feasible, however unlikely.

This set is my ideal early afternoon tent and that's probably what she'll get

I think between RUFUS, Playboi Carti, Chromeo, and T-Pain, there are already too many possibilities to fill the non-superjam LN slot. But, she’s still a must see for me and I’m really pumped for this set.
Edit: I’ll add that there’s a chance she could be involved in the SJ, which would be cool.

I can’t believe the lack of discussion around here. I think that speaks the loudest. My rookie year, 2010, I found inforoo that February and I couldn’t keep up in the following months. Crazy 🤷🏻♂️
Ya’ll think any kind of significant announcement will come out this week? Last week we didn’t really get anything. Comedy additions seem overdue, especially with it being leaked that there’s no tent this year.

I like Trevor but him and Amy are two people you can catch pretty much anywhere. Bonnaroo really needs to understand that they should book acts you can’t see most places in order to get people to go to Manchester, TN. Lonely Island would’ve been perfect for that.

So are we 100% sure that the comedy tent is gone? 360 tour has it included (completely understand that could be meaningless and the tent is probably still axed but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, just thought I'd point it out.

Honestly, I've pretty much always just seen comedy as an extra perk at Roo. Adds to the experience but was never the main reason for me going.
That said, the fact that they supposedly booked 2 of the other Clusterfest headliners but missed out on Lonely Island really just seems like a failed opportunity. Would much prefer a LI & Noah combo (or LI & Jon Stewart combo for that matter) over Schumer & Noah.

I have to imagine this is how 95%+ of attendees feel. I'm actually surprised they still have comedy at all.... seems like the cash would move more tickets if used to upgrade the lineup/stages/art.
Is there anyone other than Lonely Island that we think would actually move tickets? No offense to Trevor/Amy, but I don't see them selling a shitload of tickets after they are announced.

I personally can't stand Amy Schumer, but don't underestimate her legion of fans. I definitely think her name can help move some more tickets.
I'd like to see Sebastian Maniscalco, John Mulaney and Mike Birbiglia on the farm.

I’m with you, boo. Who are you most excited to see? Saturday is looking like my busiest day. Bon Iver, Sylvan Esso, Old Crow, Glitch Mob, Knox Fortune, The Regrettes, and Post Animal are all on my list for that day. I like First Aid Kit but they made me sleepy in 2015.
I’m also really pumped for T Pain, Japanese Breakfast, Tash Sultana, Alex Lahey, Broken Social Scene, St. Paul, & Jungle. And hopeful I can stay up for the Superam. Maybe it being on Friday this year will help? I have a bad track record.

Looking at the Clusterfest lineup, some other names that it'd be cool to see Roo snag: Tiffany Haddish, Jim Jefferies, Kyle Mooney & Nathan Fielder, Roy Wood Jr. (they could have some kind of daily show thing), Drunk History, Chris Redd, Sam Jay.
By my count, last year we shared 7 comedy acts with Clusterfest (out of 14 total). But, none of them were headliners (Hannibal Buress was billed 8th at Clusterfest). Plus, with no tent, I'd assume there will be less crossover let alone comedy acts in general.

I’m happy with the headliners which is a nice surprise, although wasn’t super impressed with Em in 2011, but I blame that on my location. Never seen Muse or the Killers, so that’s a big plus for me. Would love to make the superjam finally. Count me IN for Alt J (although they are soo chill live), Sheryl Crow, Moon Taxi, OCMS. I feel the same about First Aid Kit, that’ll come down to schedule. This year is really going to be schedule based and lots of discovery at that point, which I’m actually fine with.
