The events look pretty cool. I'm just curious how packed these plaza's will be when music in Centeroo ends.
I feel like Kalliope will still be the most popular attraction, so hopefully not too bad. I bet they'll get more crowded as the weekend goes on as more people hear about them though.

There's still Kalliope, Silent Disco and Snake and Jake's so i think it'll be pretty balanced. I'd expect Plaza's 2, 3 and 6 to get the most attention.
Yeah, there’s some really cool stuff. Will probably check out ‘Saturday’ morning cartoons on Thursday + maybe some of the food stuff w/ Tim Love. Also pretty sure I’ll check out tonalism on Thursday so I can hopefully catch Jimmy Tamborello.
Hoping I can beat any absurd late late night crowds at House of Yes by going as soon as brockhampton wraps up on Saturday, but I guess we’ll see.
Overall, yeah this stuff should def enhance my experience. Only concern is a) uncertainty of crowds + b) I’m kinda bummed cos I’m fairly certain there’s no way I’ll end up catching Jon Gabrus in any capacity. Not surprising, but still a bummer.

Let the record show I am pro-barn and very enthused at the direction they’re taking to program and extend organized activities into the campgrounds. All great steps. The early morning and late night offerings really help to round out the festival.
Since this is Inforoo though, here’s my gripe: It’s like they forgot the Solar Stage exists. As far as midday programming goes, I’m way more likely to catch something there in-between sets than to trek out to a barn. They moved away from making that a stage for lineup acts a couple of years ago. I just miss that—it was a neat setting for small acts.
Someone on Reddit pointed out that Tyler Childers' Hickman Holler Happy Hour conflicts with his leaked set time. As I pretty much always assumed, this almost definitely confirms that there will be small discrepancies between the leaked and actual schedule.
My guess is that they hadn't finalized this happy hour time yet, and that Tyler likely flipped places with someone like Japanese Breakfast or Westside Gunn. Not too big of a deal imo. Just hoping there aren't more extensive differences.

That's what I was thinking I might do as well. I can't imagine it would very crowded with Kaskade still going on. But I also want to hit it up Thursday night so we'll see.

Ah shit hopefully he switches with Japanese Breakfast because that Everything Everything > JB > Tyler Childers > Denzel run is perfect.

Yeah, that would be ideal. But it's also hard for me to envision them putting him directly up against another country act (Brothers Osborne), even though I think they cater to significantly different audiences. I think a total mix up of those early-afternoon acts could be in the cards. It'd be unfortunate, but not the end of the world by any means.

I'm of an opposing opinion about how early Friday is scheduled right now. I think it could be a bit better pre Denzel Curry. And I don't think it could get dramatically worse. I can envision a world where I get 4 of the following 6 instead of 3: Bayonne - Everything Everything - Japanese Breakfast - WG + Conway - Trombone Shorty - Low Cut Connie.
As good as all this scheduling has been, I'm definitely disappointed that it appears there won't be artist additions this year. Was looking forward to those couple mid-undercard adds.

Same. I was really holding out hope that Phoebe Bridgers was gonna get added.

Ugh, yes. That would’ve been a perfect add. That said, my days are looking to be pretty full as is. Hard to complain about lack of adds when that’s the case, though it is definitely a bit of a bummer.

I'm pretty sure that Foster The People is gonna be added... They were listed as part of the lineup on a recent confirmation email that you received after entering the "Talk About Life with Bassnectar @ Bonnaroo" contest on Headcount (it has since been changed)... They play in Indiana on Friday & their next gig is in Florida the following Tuesday...

Roo came out and said that was a mistake on the part of the group who put on the contest.

Funny, that's exactly who I wanted as well. Would've been a really nice set for Sunday afternoon.
Also would've liked a set from Paramore's drummer's project HalfNoise.
But yeah, I can't complain much. I'm pretty pleased with how everything's shaping up. Seems to me to be a definite step up from the last couple years, especially last year.

Not crazy about Thursday acts getting such a late start... Could have easily had a few more local acts playing IMO.
Haven't they started at around this time pretty much every year? At least as of the last few? Even back in 2015, I don't think anyone played earlier than 4.

2014 was the last year artists started around 3pm on Thursday.
Minor detail but it looks like Alex Lahey and Brothers Osborne switched time slots. Brothers Osborne is on Sunday and Alex Lahey is on Friday.
Looks very possible that Tyler Childers could play in Japanese Breakfast's timeslot now as it wouldn't conflict with a similar genre. That would be great for me because I can easily see Everything Everything, have a good spot for Japanese Breakfast, then stay in that tent for Denzel Curry and T-Pain.

Nice catch. Kind of a bummer having to choose between Tyler Childers and Alex Lahey, whereas Alex Lahey was a no-brainer when she was on Sunday. But not too big a deal.
edit: though, they still haven't changed Tyler Childers' set time. That change could hypothetically be unrelated. I guess we'll see.
Also, with Alex Lahey no longer early Sunday, there's a good chance I just stay out all night Saturday and then hold off on hitting Centeroo till like 4 on Sunday. Fine by me tbh.

As someone pulling in to town in the wee hours of Thursday morning, I’m ok with 4pm start times. Gives us a chance to setup camp, nap a little go explore some of the barns. Bringing 2 first timers so taking them on a tour of Centeroo will be nice to get done and then have Ron Gallows start our weekend off!
For me Thursday just seems more like a day of activities and exploring. I'm really not planning on seeing many bands if any at all tbh (espicially if I do the open mic). It is cool to have a fun day for exploration especially when there's so much to check out now. But epic Thursday night shows were one of my favorite parts of Bonnaroo. I'm going to miss that.

Is that when you’re doing the open mic? I may join you.

This exactly. I have Ron Gallows and Durand Jones as thebonly artist I am seeing on Thursday. What do you plan for open mic?
