I think I already said this when the schedule leaked, but Anderson .Paak > Bon Iver > Eminem > Bon Iver > Brockhampton is the most Bonnaroo thing I've seen on a schedule since 2015. The only thing that would make it more Bonnaroo is if STS9 started after Brockhampton.
Bonnaroo '15/'16/'17/'18/'19 - ACL '13/'14/'15/'17/'18 - Fun Fun Fun '14 - SXSW '13/'14/'15 - FPSF '16
2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
Do y’all think they’ll clear the pit in between Bon Iver sets? Or let people stay (tbh, I don’t see why they wouldn’t let people chill, but I want them to clear it lol).

So where do we complain about adding 15 mins onto muse’s Set. They’ve listened before last year and switched twiddle and they’ve extended mmjs set in 2015 on our complaints
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Edit: and with chromeo, I think having Nectar being relatively unopposed is a response to the claims that soundbleed would be a problem for people at other sets (which was a main argument for him playing the What). It makes sense.
I thought the sound bleed from the Which Stage over to That Tent wasn't bad? But I wouldn't know from experience. I'm just a little sad that for 90 minutes your only options are Bassnectar or Snakehips. Chromeo would have given us some variety during that time. I also feel like a lot of people would have loved to see Chromeo and the Superjam.
Saturday turned out pretty well. Friday night is shit.
sturgill-> rufus du sol -> muse -> ??? -> superjam/chromeo wouldn't be terrible. not worth the price of admission and outside of rufus, not terribly exciting, but I could make a run of it.
this schedule makes the lineup look worse overall though.

I wouldn't have many conflicts. Just massive spaces of time (literally the entire Thursday) with nothing to see.

There is just a lots of time where there is only one artist playing that I am interested in, and sometimes only marginally. Like, after alex lahey on Friday there are some good artists that I enjoy (trombone shorty, zeshan B, tash sultana, revivalists) that I would definitely go see if I were there, but it doesn't make we want to buy a ticket and travel. I guess the schedule just makes it clear that I would spend a lot of money and time for some "eh, this is the best thing going on, guess I'll go here." Just, not compelling to me, and that becomes more clear when laid out on a schedule like this rather than a poster with a list of artists. I'm not a huge Muse fan, but have seen them live and thought it was an incredible show; giving them less than 90 minutes though makes it a little eh, especially since bonnaroo used to be a place where headliners were given time to play longer, full shows.
There are some fun runs though. Saturday Sylvan Esso >paak > bon iver > em cuz why not > sts9 would be pretty fun.

Now that it is confirmed, this is an amazing schedule. Can't believe they were able to make Saturday better than anyone was even able to imagine in mocks.
It is weird to me that we have so much complaining about headliner set length when most of us are pretty neutral about the artists to begin with. I'd rather the Killers play for an hour than two hours.
Friday: Everything Everything - Japanese Breakfast - Trombone Shorty - Denzel Curry - Tash Sultana - Revivalists - Sturgill Simpson - Rufus Du Sol - Muse - Bassnectar - Tom Petty Superjam - Virtual Self - Red Bull Music Academy Takover
Saturday: The War and Treaty - Saro - Pond - Kali Uchis - CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers - Sylvan Esso - Anderson Paak and the Free Nationals - Bon Iver - Eminem - Bon Iver - Brockhampton - Kaskade - Deep House Sunrise Session
Sunday: Ikebe Shakedown - Broken Social Scene - Jungle or GoGo Penguin - St. Paul & the Broken Bones - Daniel Caesar - Future - alt-J - The Killers
Nothing too exciting for me on Thursday. Exploring could take precedent over any of those sets. I'm excited about Friday from Everything Everything through Denzel + Rufus through the Superjam. I could see myself going to the Silent Disco for Justin Jay's DJ set instead of Tash and the Revivalists and going to the end of T-Pain and getting a good spot for Rufus. Will have to think about that one. Love everything about Saturday considering how much they crammed into this day. Sunday is still kind of meh for me.

Yeah, I don't care if I'm being annoying, I'm trying to make my voice heard on this on reddit to their account that is active there. I really hope people make a lot of noise about this. As someone who used to be a massive Muse fan, I was really excited to see them put on an epic Roo show for the doubters. But that won't happen with this set time.
Edit: Also they extended U2's set time from 1h45m to 2h last year after complaints. If that can happen then Muse can get 1h30. They got 1h40m at Life is Beautiful last year. I said this elsewhere, but it seems they're basically treating Bassnectar like he's a coheadliner with Muse that night. Makes being a top line headliner seem irrelevant.

I seriously don't think headliners are gonna be heavily restricted to their scheduled set times but if they are I don't really care honestly cause everything else is great and works perfectly for me. Saturday night seems to be the only tough conflict for me but no matter what I choose it'll be a win-win. But I do wish they would throw on something else during Bassnectar to draw some of the crowd away.
Edit: My schedule at the moment Thursday: The Other all day from JJ > Space Jesus > PPPP > Opiou Friday: Everything Everything > ??? > Denzel Curry > Tash Sultana > T-Pain > Sturgill > Rufus/Maybe end of Khalid > Bassnectar > Superjam/Chromeo > VS Saturday: Pond > Droeloe b2b Taska Black > Boogie T b2b Squnto > Chic w Nile Rodgers > Anderson .Paak > Bon Iver/Maybe Glitch Mob > idkk > Brockhampton > Kaskade Sunday: Mija b2b Billy Kenny > Jungle/ Mr. Carmack > Big Wild > Daniel Caesar > Thundercat/Alt-j > Killers

They probably will clear it. I believe they did it for Dead & Co.t

Fair point. I’m possibly going to volunteer, so to get paid almost $25.50 an hour to be at Roo and see some shows, I’ll probably end up going.
Not sure if Dead and Co is a great precedent for the way the Bon Iver sets will work. Way different situations.
Yeahhhh the biggest difference is there's a solid hour-15 break in between, as opposed to <30 mins. Dead & Co. was also blocked out as basically one big chunk of time, though they played two sets. Bon Iver actually has two separate times blocked out.
