Thursday actually has me excited this year. Dreamers, Justin Jay, CYN, Clozee, Elohim, and Opiou...I thought this was a solid run? I prob have shit taste though.

Which of those acts would you identify as a top 15 or even 20 most anticipated set for you?

Justin Jay...that'd be the only one that's top 20. I always have a really good time on Thursday, we usually have a couple rookies every year so I usually walk around and show them Centeroo during the day then we hit up shows around 7-8. If there's no one I want to see its when we would usually hit up comedy or a movie.
If the sets suck this year we'll dip out early to head over to the House of Yes party. Bringing a costume chest with about 3lbs of glitter for their late night parties ha. I think I still have glitter in my clothes since my last trip to House of Yes in NYC last Oct.
I might be thinking of Phish. But yeah, two different situations.
I was in the Dead pit. They did not clear it between sets. My bladder still has PTSD.
But it wasn't an hour-long intermission, so who knows. I'd rather they clear it this time, because I don't want to have to miss Paak or First Aid Kit to pit the first one, but I'd be chill with skipping Eminem for the second, probably.
We have two newbies with us this year so we can setup camp and show them around. We missed last year so we can see what new stuff there is. I can grab my first of 20 King of Pops for the weekend. Then we hit up Ron Gallows, I take the first Centeroo nap and then it’s Durand Jones and afterwards maybe check out a Barn or two. Get to bed early and then ready to enjoy the weekend oh and also waking up at 8am cause it’s already 90 fucking degrees out.
So first the headliners suck, then now the headliners who already suck are now playing too short of sets? Got it.
The significance here is that even if they do book some good headliners in the future we are now still going to be on fence about if it's worthwhile since they will only be playing about half their regular stand alone show. Previously wouldn't have had that dilemma so diminishing returns.

Yeah, I would agree that the impact of those shorter times is less about this year and more long-term. I would hope, though, that if they got a unique booking in the future, they’d give them a more substantial set time. I suppose time will tell.

2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
- Adam Devine set times (I thought that it was odd that these weren't included in the schedule release) - Opry line-up (which I'm assuming will also come with a schedule of who is playing when - every Opry broadcast has one)

Per Bonnaroo, Adam Devine is performing multiple short sets before certain bands play. No word yet on which bands. I’d assume from this he won’t have a long set of his own:

Clozee is pretty great. I enjoyed Elohim on the Coachella stream. She did a really good cover of Chanel by Frank Ocean with Kid A as a backing track.

Here is Muse's setlist from Pa'l Norte Fest in Mexico last night, with a 1h20m set time. I would be beyond thrilled if this is the setlist we got. Showbiz is my #1 dream song live, from any band. Too bad they'll probably never play it in the US. Take a Bow would be epic though, and Stockholm Syndrome will always be one of my favorite songs ever.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Awesome setlist if we did get this, Yeah I don’t expect us to get Showbiz but I’m anticipating some kind of surprise like Assassin or Muscle Memory maybe, eh probably not, not getting my hopes up for anything really old by them. I’m afriad they are gonna play a new song which would be cool but I’m already sad about the fact that there’s so many Muse songs I know they probably won’t play. I rather have Dead Inside than Psycho, rather have Butterflies and Hurricanes or even MK Ultra instead of The 2nd Law. Take A Bow would be epic I agree and I’d be perfectly happy with it, but I feel because they’ve played every other big music fest in the US(practically) they will play Resistance or Undisclosed Desires, but they really don’t seem to be playing those as of recently despite being popular songs. I wish they had a longer set time to play. If I could have one song I would want to hear by them it would be Blackout, I will cry so many happy tears if I ever get to hear that live.

Knowing Muse's usual US setlists, I'm just hoping for one rarity and I'd be happy. Adding 15 minutes would remedy all that, which is why I'm wanting them to change that so badly.
Unfortunately Isolated System is probably to stay as it's just used as an interlude so Matt can get a voice break. Same reason they have a bass and drum jam every show.

Saw Durand Jones & the Indications last night and they killed it. Fantastic show.
I so want to see them but there's NO WAY I'm missing Spencer Ludwig.
This was originally a conflict for me, but then I watched some video of both acts and it’s pretty abundantly clear that Durand Jones & the Indications are superior in a live setting.

Oh yeah. Spencer Ludwig is pretty awesome. I saw him open up for ......a concert I went to once that I won't mention, and he was much better than the headlining act.
