If attendance is indeed higher, I'm glad it occurred in a year when they put a little thought into the undercard. I like the idea that maybe one day I'll go back to Bonnaroo.
Eminem is a bigger draw than I think we realize...he only has like 7 north American shows this whole year. Bassnectar increasingly seems to be a go-to act for fests looking to boost sales.
Exactly what I predicted, everything Roo has been doing up till now has shown that they’re getting things back on track and estimated attendance numbers are showing it. I truly think this will be the best year since 2015, I just hope we get last years weather.
It’s almost like having a decent undercard is important...
You could easily argue that they went as broad as possible for their target demo with the three headliners they booked lol
Eh, the arguments that last year’s headliners somehow didn’t appeal to the target demo was pretty dumb imo. Plus Muse ain’t setting the world on fire with “the kids.” The big difference from last year is in the undercard.

I think "the kids" are drawn to the nostalgia of Eminem and The Killers. Both acts had their peak when the majority of millennials were 8-13. Combine that with the unique Bon Iver sets, some new fest experiences/activities, and the fact that Bassnectar fans travel really well and it makes sense that roo would have a bounce back year.
I mean, somehow The Killers had 96% capacity on their just recent US arena tour.

As inforoo's overall interest in Bonnaroo has declined, Reddit has done a good job of providing helpful bonnaroo information. In particular, this thread about the bee issue at the What stage. Newcomers to roo take note:
The one big glaring Omission is the lack of metal on the lineup. I thought they might try to sneak one act in there at the last minute but nope.
I mean, what’s the point if there’s nothing else that appeals to that audience? Although I do think it’s kinda lame that they’ve gone that way, I feel like you can’t just have *one* metal act. So it was pretty apparent that they ditched that scene when none was on the initial lineup release.

Cigar City is on the Brooer’s lineup. A Jai Alai or Guayaberry on the farm sound nice.
Wicked Weed is my headliner.
Ah yes, a unique independent company with a history of creative offerings that immediately experienced a drop in quality when it was bought out by a soulless corporate conglomerate. Bonnaroooooo!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

That's unfortunate. Hadn't heard that. My expectations are lowered.
