Honestly I think this lineup has aged really well in the 3 months it's been out. I know the headliners aren't all that unique (lolla sharing all of them) but with Aphex, Gesa, Rosalia, Blood Orange, UMO, Bodzin, Cirez D, Sabrina Claudio, FKJ, Pusha, Four Ten, and the addition of Sunday Service this is an amazing lineup for me. Even a lot of the acts I didn't name are still great even if they are a bit played out (Tame, Gambino, Paak, Rufus, The 1975 (judge me)) I hardly consider this a down year. Also poetic kinetics is back and I haven't been to a PK year yet

The lineup has aged well for me too. Still wished there was one or two more artists from Modeselektor, Chemical Brothers, A.A.L, Hot Chip, Maribou State, David August, Jungle (i know they played last year) etc that could have been on the lineup to really round it out.. I am finding on the mocks that I can string together 8-12 sets a day whereas when the lineup came out was looking more like 4-8.
Coachella lineup always starts to look better in general because the rest of the lineups in North America generally are utter shit.
Highly underestimating Kanye's pull if you dont think it's gonna be packed to capacity. Idk the capacity of the Sunday Service, but Kanye outdraws Tame and Gambino no matter what time of day he plays. Probably not Ariana at 9am.

Waiting until 2 weeks before Weekend 2 to officially put passes back on sale is too little too late. Everyone in local radius who goes to Coachella already has their passes. They missed out on a lot of travelers by waiting last minute. People who already have Weekend 2 passes will fill out the Sunday Service. No artist, none, is going to move that many tickets at a 2 weeks notice, to a festival that the travlers pay thousand dollar flights to go to. Its unrealistic guys. Doesn't matter how much W2 undersold, the people going will pack out Sunday Service, bank on it.

Based on the drone footage, the Sunday Service space isn’t really that big. Saying he’ll pack it out is an easy bet, particularly with a captive audience and literally nothing else going on.

Underwhelming? It was almost universally thought of as a great show and a coronation type performance. I stuck around for 20-30 minutes and it was a spectacle unlike any other of the nine Coachellas I’ve been to. Your post is underwhelming.
I'm mixed on Beyonce. It was a tremendous spectacle and perfectly executed and one of the coolest/most ambitious things I've seen at Coachella. But at times in person I wanted it to be a little looser and have more of a dance party feel like Gaga was. Everybody around me was so squished and focused and the only time people started actually dancing was when DC3 did Soldier. Iconic performance for sure, but oddly I think I would have enjoyed it more on the webcast than the crowd.

That crowd was ass. Still can’t get over people camping around the stage all day.

Yeah our takeaway was that we were too close. Sounds like we were right.
Weirldy we enjoyed Eminem more. His show was way worse but the vibe was better. We were so pumped for Beyonce and had a bad crowd experience, and had no expectations about Em but where we were (VIP main stage viewing area) was all 30 year olds partying like crazy to the nostalgia factor. So much fun.

I've largely accepted that I'm too old to get close for big headliners, but I had a blast where we were for Beyonce. Lots of room to dance, everyone losing their minds. The only headliner I've seen the last few years where the energy wasn't good a little further back was Kendrick, really hoping that continues this year.
Someone on Reddit is claiming the campground structure is for Childish, not Kanye. Taking it with several grains of salt, but it could be to show off whatever his project coming out next week is.
i officially start my first coachella trip in one week! looking forward to absolutely everything new and exciting (houston is the furthest west i've ever been), but mostly seeing the sun for the first time in months. by the sun, i mean shuck. by months, i mean years.

This seems unlikely, and scale is tricky, but that structure does look a little small and confined for an unopposed Kanye thing.
