A friend of mine two years ago insisted on leaving before the headliners finished to beat the crowd. I said "F that!" and just waited it out. Worth it.
Yes, but it's not all that bad as people make it out to be.
It is and it isn't. Thing is, there's points when you're packed together with people. It's the most crowded leaving a festival I've ever experienced. You're moving at snails pace to get yourself to the subway. You can wait it out a bit, which makes a difference. Get a beer, kick back.
are we still able to buy beer after the last set ends?

I can't recall any issues. I almost always hung back for 25-30 minutes after HL's and I can't sit around unless I have a beverage so..

My group is staying at the Springhill Suites near the Old Port of Montreal... what's the best way to make it into/out of the festival each day? Is it a feasible walk, or do we need ferry passes? Their website has next to no information on this topic

I dont think there is? Also you def can't walk there. I know on regular years you can take an uber or drive there yourself. Lots of people do that and tailgate in the parking lot. But with the construction going on and the new venue until next year I am unsure of that... I would stick with the subway.

The ferry part was largely wishful thinking on my end. I guess we'll either do the subway or taxi.. sounds like it'll be a damn mess either way if that's how everyone else is leaving
Yeah, it's possible but not really feasible to walk. I see people biking every year, but the prospect of that ride after a day at the fest is rough.

Okay, so I've been trying really hard to get into Anderson Paak and it's just not doing a lot for me. It's hipster Bruno Mars for me, perfectly fine music, just nothing special nothing to make me go back and want to listen again. Anyone seen him before who could attest to the strength of his live show? I'm thinking I'd kinda rather catch Carpenter Brut.

Paak is one of my favorite artists in the line up. He's an incredible performer and one of the artists I know that can rap and played drums simultaneously.

Paak is outstanding live - high energy and really fun even if you are not necessarily into his music. Definitely worth checking out and I thought the music translated much better live than in studio. That said, having already seen him, I will be at Carpenter Brut as that seems like it might be completely bonkers.

I was thinking about maybe doing a 50/50 split, maybe I’ll just do that.

New Travis Scott album is dropping on Friday just in time for his performance. Really curious about it since hes saying its Radiohead inspired and Stevie Wonder has a feature.
