I assume I'm putting this in the right thread... let me know if that's not the case.
Anyway, I've been pretty bored in class recently, so here's a survey allowing us as an Inforoo community to create a best-of-the-best, self-curated, Frankenstein's-Monster type lineup based on how the past ten Bonnaroos were booked. Essentially, you vote for the best act over the past ten years that was billed first, second, third, etc., and I'll compile our overall results!
I'm not sure if that description made sense at all, but if you click on the link I think it's pretty self-explanatory! goo.gl/forms/ZkHqozzE47IUrdpC3
I don't know but I feel like you should've probably left out acts who performed more than once, the higher that act gets placed seems to be their most close one to billing. Can't imagine it very realistic having Kendrick Lamar at #16 or Bon Iver at #23, just to name a few.. (+ also having the possibility of Bon Iver having 4 sets across the whole festival is pretty funny aswell) Other than that, nice idea.

I get that point, and did think about doing it that way. But I guess it would've made sense for Kendrick to be at 16 the year he was booked at 16, and this isn't necessarily meant to be contingent on 2018 popularity.
Also, if an act like Bon Iver was picked for multiple billings I'd have them on the lineup only once (the most recent billing).
Thanks! I feel like this would be interesting to do for multiple different big festivals and compare the best "all-time" lineups. I'll also be curious to see which Bonnaroo year has the most acts represented (probably 2013 or 2014)

Making the worst lineup too just for fun

There are several dead people in there and at least one act that never played Bonnaroo.
Considering this is a fantasy lineup curation, I didn't worry too much about checking whether each of the acts were alive/still touring or anything like that.
Which act never played? I went by the past lineup posters on Bonnaroo's website, so I assumed those would be accurate... was it like a last-second dropout sort of situation?
I should've saved my input before I submitted and lost it forever...
Sorry about that! I'm not an expert on whatever settings Google Forms allows you to do. But I think if you go back to it now, you should be able to view/edit your responses
Radiohead - Kanye West - LCD Soundsystem - Kendrick Lamar Florence + The Machine - My Morning Jacket - Bon Iver (2 sets) - Skrillex - Arctic Monkeys Frank Ocean - Flume - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Mars Volta - The xx NAS - Neutral Milk Hotel - Superjam with Skrillex & Friends - The War On Drugs Nile Rodgers & Chic - Disclosure - The National - Leon Bridges - Explosions In The Sky Father John Misty - Beach House - BROCKHAMPTON - Russ - Flying Lotus - James Blake Caribou - Zeds Dead - Tame Impala - Ben Howard - Robyn - Gallant - St Vincent - ODESZA Run The Jewels - Kurt Vile & The Violators - Foals - Porter Robinson - Local Natives - RL Grime Dirty Projectors - deadmau5 - Sylvan Esso - The Gaslight Anthem - Chance The Rapper Jamie xx - Warpaint
and if we fix the billing a little bit (ok it might be off a bit..), we get:

The Ting Tings caught my eye. They dropped out like a day or two after the lineup dropped. There might have been another, though.

Good to know! I need to brush up on my historical knowledge of Roo apparently. I'd go back in and change it, but there's already like 25 responses and they're currently losing by a pretty good margin to Sturgill Simpson

Deadline is tomorrow (1/23) at around 5pm. I'll post our collective result later that evening (assuming there aren't any ties). At the risk of understating the case, it's a strong lineup.
I'm not at all savvy with photo editing software, but if anyone had free time and wanted to make a fake poster of it, I think that'd be super neat!

There's a three-way tie (between Foals, Bootsy Collins and The xx) as well as a two-way tie (Mastodon and Alt-J). One-day tiebreak vote to see who gets booked! I'll post the final lineup tomorrow... it's pretty good, honestly.
