Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
No but the band does have cult fans and I’m one of them. If I was up against a guy and we got it at the same time I would’ve put up a bit of a fight for it but the girl clearly had it first.

pft, equal rights for all
So when you and I are fighting over Matt Berninger‘s sweaty shirt I guess I should expect a real struggle.
Wow, just now seeing this thread blew up today. Is it worth reading or is it just a bunch of Top 10 lists?
C- wasn't impressed.
I haven't been here enough recently to understand how we even got to this point. I don't care who creates threads. It should be common courtesy if you create the thread, update the OP with pertinent information to save people time. I don't read festival threads if I don't attend/need info on it. Unless I know there's a dumpster fire happening, then Ill peruse for comedic value. Don't create future threads for festivals that haven't happened yet. (Roo might be the exception)

The 1975?
since trantsgiving was in attendance, I'm fairly certain it was the College Radio Youths Electronic Dance Music Band.
Everyone offers something. And we should care what the festival community thinks of us. I want to hear what everyone thinks. New posters, old posters, and posters that have left. Keep it respectful please.
I'm assuming this was in response to what I was saying just above this, so I'd like to clarify. In the context of that conversation I was referring to the idea that we should take this "larger festival community" into consideration with how we handle posters that might have scoops. To me, we aren't in any way obligated to suffer ridiculous behavior for the sake of outsiders to this board. I don't really care if a poster has scoops if they are a constant nuisance. Many others feel likewise. That's all I was referring to. Sorry I wasn't more clear and that I have a potty mouth.
Of course we should care what the greater festival community thinks of us overall. That's why I made suggestions on cleaning up the festival threads so they don't resemble the Roo Headliner thread. People keep bringing up what outsiders think of us. If you look at Reddit, they think the Headliner thread is a reflection of the whole board and that's clearly not a good thing. So we should consider that if we're wanting to broaden the scope of this place and bring new folks in for more general festival discussions.

No I wasn’t close enough. That crowd was so bad I had to leave and hang out in the way back. It got much better after I did.
who described themselves as "new" or "don't post a lot", for what it's worth i enjoy reading your contributions to inforoo and am glad y'all are around. and i still think of myself as new too.
as an aside, anyone who has not participated in an inforoo meetup i encourage you to do so. i've met several people here and even the rawest inforoo'ers are total sweethearts in real life. kind of hard to take anyone's comments too seriously when you've seen them jumping up and down and smiling at a Justice set.
and since Druid is off giving blood i'll again kindly request that we try and stop engaging in attacks in this thread. that's what both of the panorama 2019 threads are for.
Oh, I did. Normally I would let a girl have it, but that was one I really wanted. I don't get many things from shows, I have that stick and a stick from Mutemath and a few setlists.
Hey, no judgement here! I would’ve done the same. Glad you pulled out the W!
As the creator of a thread that was on the bubble of being blocked because of a super polarizing poster who regularly shitposts within it - I find all the whining kind of silly. Memphroo is really dumb and annoying, and I'm seriously convinced he's just a typical internet troll. What kills trolls, like bleach to bacteria? ignoring them. Straight up, if you don't like what someone is saying - scroll right on through. They're just stupid words from an imbecile - Why waste your time and patience on such nonsense? I wouldn't even waste my time searching for wherever the block button is - that's giving too much effort into his ridiculousness.
On the same note, with regards this larger, divisive civil war on the forum: sometimes one side is funny, sometimes the other - most of the time Neither. It's all petty childishness as someone else mentioned, and it just shouldn't be. This is the internet. Stop caring.
Anyway, for more constructive thoughts on the mechanics of the forum, I can only speak to the thread I created -- I promise to add the lineup and set times to original post of the Beale Street Music Festival (of which I have attended 6 of the last 9 years) when they are released.
Happy festing 2018 everyone! Peace and love, peace and love.

Thanks for clarifying that. I was pretty confused.
I like Inforoo. It's wonderful. I've never felt so accepted in all my life. You people look deep within my soul and assign me a number based on the order in which I joined.
Ok, in seriousness - I like the idea of limiting most fest threads to a year in advance, except for Roo and maybe Coach. I'm not sure you need to have specific people need to start threads, but should have a disclaimer that people who start fest threads should update the OP as needed. I also like the idea of having subsections divided by year.
It’s in the thread title. Which changes regularly.
Give us your opinion. What’s wrong with this place and how do we fix it?
Well I certainly think heavier moderation (i.e. more mods) is in order. There are some threads on this board that to call them shitshows would be an insult to shitshows.
I do agree with much of what SFA has said. The headliner thread mentality has begun to spread to other parts of the board and it needs to be stopped. Otherwise the board looks utterly hostile and impenetrable to a newcomer. The last thing we need this community becoming is the Lollaboard.

It looked pretty hostile to me my first time, but good thing I had 10 good men and some climbing spikes.
Not only that, but in my years of lurking I remember *maybe* one new regular making an appearance and I was frankly too scared to make an account of my own that entire time.
If /r/bonnaroo thinks WE'RE bad...they ain't seen shit.

You know going through this thread again, I see the usual suspects talking about how awful and terrible I am. Yet the only concrete criticism that anybody has pointed to, is that sometimes I will say that I know a lineup, not share, and you feel upset by that... That sounds pretty dumb to me.
But ya know what. I relinquish my scoop crown. From now on I will not give out any inside information at all. I will ignore any and all PMs asking for info. We can go back to the days of waiting for insider to show up once a year and let yall know about 3 acts on only one festival.
Now you guys just get me and my insightful, impartial, respected analysis on politics, attendance numbers, and foghat =). Inforoo 2.0 babay!!
We could always just speculate and wait a couple of days more like everyone else fwiw. It’s really not that big of a deal, y’all. Time moves pretty fast after all.
