Middle names are good places for family names. It pleases the family but doesn't saddle the kid with an awful name. One of my friend's middle names is West. It's a great grand father's name if I remember right. Family really pushed to make it his first name, but his parents weren't having it. Otherwise, if you have a first and last nailed down, go with something that sounds good in the middle of those two names. What do I know though? Both my kids middle names are their mom's last name.

My two oldest sisters middle names are Dudley and Lewis. Yep.

i do have a aunt who passed away named Rose lol. We tossed around the idea on Ann as its my Grandmother and Mother in laws middle name. its tough naming people.

It really is. Ann goes well with the other two names. Another idea I have heard is for each partner to write down a list of their top ten or twenty names in private then compare lists. If names show up on both, those are the ones to think on further.
We had an excess of names for girls and we were all ready for this one to be a girl. It's been a bear coming up with a boy name that we both like. This one's going to come down to the wire.

Naming people is hard. I got lucky. Kyle told me his name in a dream. I also told the doctors I was having a boy on August 1 when my due date was the 5th. They all thought I was crazy. I obviously was not, since I had a boy on August 1. I was thinking of Reed for his first name, due to my dreams and my "spirit guide" from them that always saved me, but he told me he was Kyle and what am I going to do? Not name him that?
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I told my son's father he could pick any girl name he wanted because I was so confident I was having a boy.
BTW, all this is true and I do know I sound like a crazy person. No fucks given.

Josh and I picked out names for our nonexistent children years ago. He picked a girl’s middle name and boy’s first name, and I did the reverse. Our kids would have been Gretchen Calliope and Wiley Thomas. I still love those names. It’s one of the few things that makes me sad about not having children.

I'm set on never having kids but I do have a name picked out if we ever had a girl. PJ.

I don't mind Ruby Aurora at all. My niece is Savannah Rihanna which is way more of a mouthful name-wise.

It's after PJ Harvey. Her name is Polly Jean. I think I'd just go with PJ.
