I think if we amend, Vieux, Walaka, Hamboner, Pepe should be grandfathered in. All of them drafted people with the expectation that they'd get full side projects.

Even if not selected, those acts would not be available to others.
Is the objection that their lineups would be too homogeneous? Because that seems like more of a problem for them than anyone else.
My objection is really twofold:
1. You get to get multiple high draft picks for the price of one. If the Dead Weather had passed, one person would get Queens of the Stone Age, the Dead Weather, the Kills, and Jack White for the price of one. 2. The reality of it. If we're looking for these fests to be "real" what are the odds of the same person participating and all of these sets and that any festival would book a lineup like that?

1) So why don't you just draft an act with lots of spinoffs and capitalize on that? 2) It's a fantasy draft. Ain't none of these lineups actually happening. Last time the winner had a fairly realistic lineup (with one ridiculous novelty pick). The one with a ton of spinoffs didn't make it out of the second round.

I mean, I don't really care. I'm just agreeing with a proposed rule change and saying why. I would have never proposed it because I don't care enough. I wouldn't vote for any of these lineups filled with spinoffs because I think they're lame. But that's just me, and I've been known to be pretty lame, myself.

Each set will be a free agent selection just like anyone who gets a group that blocks out other bands. I.e the dead weather (blocks jack white, qotsa, etc.)

im not for exclusive trades.i vote no. what are we talking about again?
Proposal 2: Once an act has been drafted, the rights to a member of that act are available via trade. If the traded individual is part of another act then that act would still need to be selected. (If the traded individual is being billed as a solo artist then no further action is needed.)
