The only update I want is the ability to choose as many free agents as possible to fill out my clashfinder for 4 days of Bonnaroo All the rest of these, I couldn't care less about really. I just wanna waste my time making a 100+ artist lineup.
I'd love to up the 30 free agents to 50 or something. Before this game started, I looked up the posters of last years and most of em were stacked but there was not really any room for much of an undercard imo. I mean, 55 acts spread over 3 days means nearly 20 acts a day which means 4 acts per stage per day (What, Which, Other, This, That). Which idk, isn't that much imo.. idk
This isn't directed at anyone, and I could certainly do a better job of this myself, but I wish we would celebrate each other's picks a little more beyond just liking the posts with bands that we like.
Like, what's everyone's favorite Mac Demarco song? I don't know his music super-well, personally, so this isn't one where I have an answer for that. But I think since it's all a hypothetical, for-fun deal, and we have some decent downtime between picks sometimes, we could do some stuff to make it a little more lively. It is a competition, but we all love music.
I'm still going to draft ASAP, though. No glory for RedFrog and cdev! (Jk)
My favorite project of his is actually Another One. Ive seen him once and only once because his fanbase is whack

I mean my clashfinder has 103 spots...oops.
More or less the same here. Maybe we should have a maximum number of acts one can pick, or something?

I'm gonna propose this soon.
Honestly, I don't think it matters how many UDFAs you pick because at a certain point, who the eff is looking. It's more for me because I'm a geek and I get a real kick out of making this fantasy festival of my own.

I expanded my lineup last year and made a schedule after I lost in the first round haha

also we start to homogenize more at that point. at a smaller number of UDFA you still get some exclusives just by people choosing A over B, etc. The more we add the more people just take A + B.
Kendrick Lamar - Muse - LCD Soundsystem My Morning Jacket (2 Sets) - The xx - Tenacious D - Ice Cube Ween - Portugal. The Man - Jamie xx - TV on the Radio Mac Demarco

I think it also depends on how many different acts a person can think of as a UDFA. It doesn't necessarily mean there will be a lot of homogenization. There might be some interesting lineups.
Someone should educate me on The Shins, I've seen them pop up here on a few line ups last year but I think they're much bigger in the US.
I personally, am not a Shins fan. Their best music is on the Garden State Soundtrack, IMO. I like those songs, but I can't get into other stuff. I have tried several times, they are one of those bands, that many assume are on constant rotation because they seem to fit my music demo but they don't.

I like them but they're weirdly quiet live. We started calling them the Shhhins.
