I know I sound like a broken record complaining about ticket prices post Covid, but $120 to sit in the nosebleed for Boygenius? Give me a fucking break.
It’s an ok value if you are into the lineup as a whole but if you aren’t the cost is high. The LCD day is a good deal for me since I’m into all the acts but I can’t justify the other days even though I would like to see Boygenius and James Blake.

This is what I've been repeating to myself as I sit in the corner, rocking back and forth in disgust with myself for what I shelled out for guaranteed GA Floor on the LCD day. I don't know L'Rain, but I'm getting three sets from artists I'm really into (one of whom is one of my favorite bands, in general) for that price, so hopefully it'll feel worth it in the end (it also says there'll be other DFA folks involved, but I have no idea what that'll look like).
I really want to see boygenius and Bartees Strange is great, but I don't care about Clairo or Dijon at all, so I can't justify even the lower-tier cost. Maybe I'll luck out late in the secondary market. If not, I'll always have the memory of that Brooklyn Steel show in 2018.
I'm out of town that weekend so kind of happy I don't have to consider all this. Was there "Guaranteed GA Floor" 3 day available or was it just one 3 day pass that is general admission, first come/first serve?
For those who have been to Knockdown Center, is the best method to take L to Jefferson and take shuttle? Also a friend let me know that they went and had to wait like an hour to get in, is that standard?

I guess it depends on the event, but that hasn't been my experience - I've been to a Despacio, a couple of DJ nights, and a couple of concerts there, and I haven't waited in line. Then again, the last of those was in 2019, so maybe things have changed. Also, my goal with any of those was never to get there super early and jockey for position on the floor, so that may be a different experience, too.

Appreciate the insight! Is it bigger than T5? I'm going on Fri and while I don't need to be up front, I'm not really a mezzanine type of fella.

Do they have a mezz at Knockdown Center? I don't recall seeing one...but I never really looked for it, either.
I think its overall indoor capacity is slightly larger than Terminal 5, but it's not the same multi-level type of setup, so you're looking at a longer, wider space, overall.
This is a long shot, but if anyone comes across Depeche Mode tickets that aren't insanely expensively I'd really appreciate a PM. Thanks!
I fucked up and forgot about the on sale and now the secondary market is wild. It’s weird they haven’t added a second show.
MSG availability is probably limited at that time of year. You're right in that it is odd they aren't playing a second area date and also odd it's like the only Northeast date. I imagine a second leg is in the works with other dates and also Philadelphia and Boston dates.

Even the date already announced has a warning on it that it could be moved due to scheduling. DM tweeted yesterday that more North American dates would be announced soon so fingers crossed for something else in the area. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a leg in the fall around ACL since they've played before.
Jack White playing BK Steel on 2/22. You have to register for the opportunity to buy tickets.
This is the first time I've seen AXS do this. I hope it doesn't become the norm.
EDITED TO ADD: Also, it really puts you in a strange spot if you're planning to go with anyone. Like, my wife and I could conceivably both register, but if we, by some miracle, both get in, we're stuck with four tickets when we only wanted to two. That's weird.

I imagine you could easily sell if that did happen. I'm curious as to how they randomly select. Maybe they look at past purchases and decide if you're taste is old-timey and analog enough, you get tickets?

They tap into your ScreenTime app and prioritize those who spend the least amount of time on their phones.

I'm sure you could find people to use the other two tix though if that happens. It's an improvement on TM's Verified Fan as in if they select you, you're in without the stress of still needing to chase the ticket. Short time frame til the show helps though, not sure if this would be as good if the show was a longer time away.

I don't know if I'd feel that confident. The last couple of times I've tried to move "I'm sure I'll be able to sell these tickets" extras, I've ended up eating at least part of the cost.

Axs did the lottery thing not too long ago for a show in La. You have the ability to say no.
The real question is is Jack White still popular enough to warrant this rigorous sign up system at a 2k capacity venue? He plays those pretty frequently on his regular tours (albeit not in NYC)

Good question. The answer is no. Jack's last tour sold horribly. He's not a huge draw anymore at normal prices, and i'm sure these will be $150+ or in that range.

At this point, unless they’re an audiophile, people under 30 have no idea who he is. And people over 50 aren’t die hards. Not the biggest demo.

They come out to be about $110-115 w/fees I believe. I don't think it'll be a SUPER hot ticket but still in demand.

Yea, don't get me wrong, he will definitely sell this show out in the request period. But I am 100% positive you will be able to find face value tickets a few days before the show.

To be fair, I've been way off base with anticipating hot tickets vs not. Tove Lo playing Irving Plaza was going for around face yet her show tonight at the Knockdown Center there are few tickets to be found and they're all $250 +.
