I can't tell if that Bloc Party show will sell out quickly or not.
In what world is Brooklyn Steel intimate for a band like Bloc Party? That's the size of venue they would normally play these days. Don't stress about tickets for this one.

I'm pretty sure the last time Bloc Party came to NYC they sold out Central Park Summerstage. And the tour before that they did 3 nights at Terminal 5. BK Steel is definitely a smaller than usual venue for them.

I don't think the Summerstage show sold out and it was a 15 year anniversary of Silent Alarm tour so there was that extra pull. In 2016 they did a Gov Ball show at Irving Plaza which was supposed to be an underplay but it was about at market for them at the time. Either way, BK Steel should still sell well because it's one of a few headlining shows allowing people who don't like Paramore to see them play a full set.
Deftones collaborating with Marc Jacobs is a sentence I never anticipated reading. Nevertheless, I will be seeing The Beths otherwise I might check this out. I assume it's probably at Elsewhere or Avant Gardner if it's through DICE.
Damn I was just listening to Around the Fur the other day wondering when they’d come back to town. I’m on the waitlist but my expectations are low
Sidenote but that Pier 17 show last year was super in demand (tickets were $200 even day of). Feel like they can play Forest Hills at this point.
Yep and the show was basically sold out for almost 3 years since it went on sale before Covid hit.
Pier 17 was way too small for them. They could do Prospect Park/Central Park Summerstages easily. Forest Hills definitely feels right for them now. Especially if paired with a really solid support act.

Still made I couldn’t make that show.
It was pretty awesome though I wish they played more from Ohms. I also found out I had COVID the next day so hopefully didn't pass it to too many people there.
Asked this a while ago and it got no response - how feasible would it be to see Overmono at Brooklyn steel (show starts at 10) then take a 2:50am Amtrak out of penn? I don't think I can justify a hotel room right now, and this seems doable but really tiring.

should be fine, don't think i've been out of BK steel later than midnight and that's plenty of time to get back over there via the subway
edit: i skipped the starts at 10 part; if you're ok leaving at ~1:45 if it's still going then and time up an L train, you'll be fine
