Yeah, what the hell are you guys supposed to do when the L shuts?
There was an interesting article about this in the Times yesterday. The bus plan they have is pretty intense. But, yeah, it's going to make getting out to what's become my favorite venue in the city a bit of a challenge, to say the least.
I live in Brooklyn Heights and have been taking $4 Uber Pool rides there (cuts the travel time in half) but I imagine with the L closing those rates are gonna increase.

Yeah, they said in a reply to a Facebook comment on the announcement that they're playing a full headlining set both nights.

I'm hoping her, Future Islands and Cigarettes After Sex are on the same day. Don't feel like trekking to Forest Hills twice. Anyone know if there will be single day passes sold to this and if it will be assigned seating like usual shows or all GA?

Right now Ticketmaster is showing the standard floor seating map for Nick Cave at Barclays, rather than general admission floor which is the case for the other dates. I'm considering traveling up for this show if it does end up being GA floor.

I'm not too familiar with Nick Cave....does he really have the draw to fill an arena? I would have thought he was like a Hammerstein or Summerstage caliber act.

He did arenas last year in Europe and every single show got 5 star reviews. Also, I got to see the Distant Sky concertfilm in theaters yesterday (filmed in Denmark in a 15,000 seat arena), and it was absolutely riveting. He's at the peak of his career and draw.
Really wish I would have seen him when he came around Brooklyn last time. May try for this.
I got invited out to the Kings Theatre show but couldn't go because I was already up in MA for Boston Calling. Couple that with my idiot decision not to see him at Bonnaroo.

Ahhh, that's why I missed out last year. Also was at Boston Calling and loved the one show I've been to Kings Theatre for so would have liked this. Thought that I just missed out on tickets or was busy with a different thing.
That coachella stream has got me really hyped to see that Portugal the Man show at Forest Hills.
I have a ticket to that but on the fence if I'll go. Seen them at T5, Capitol Theater and BK Steel all in the past 8 months and the set has been basically the same plus/minus a few songs from Woodstock. The only thing really motivating me is that they have Lucius opening.
