My Bengals have flew under the radar with being at 4-1. Steelers on Sunday and playing in Kansas City on SNF in two weeks.
Oh my heart.
It's because, no matter their regular season record, we all know they're losing in their first playoff game.
Lewis is 0-7 in the postseason. That’s worse than Jim Mora level failure. I always liked the Bengals (easily favorite team in AFC North) and often pull for them. But they have that monkey on their backs they will have to overcome or else they will just be treated as the speed bump they are in the playoffs.
That’s probably why Lewis still has his job. At some point though, if you can’t win when it really matters in January, time should be up. Who knows how much more patience Mike Brown will have. At the end of the day, the Atlanta Falcons should be the only regular season champions.

People are quick to forget how bad the Bengals were before Marvin was hired. 19-61 record over the 5 previous seasons before he came along. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from a Marv apologist - I was beyond excited when rumors started circulating last year about Lewis not coming back for this season. It's just worth keeping in mind how big of a dumpster-fire they were before his era and the fact that he has arguably the greediest owner in all of sports to deal with.
It's shitty for us Bengals fans. The majority of the base would rather not make the playoffs than lose in the 1st round (which is understandable). If we do make the playoffs and win a game - all it's going to be is "about time", "congrats on being 1-etc in the playoffs".
And, I'm still not sold on this being a playoff team. We've won two games already that we were outplayed in. Our 2nd half schedule though is much softer than the beginning of it. Just would like to split the next two.
I don’t know. Maybe the last quarter but 4 of the next 5 games are Steelers (probably lucky catching them now though), at Chiefs, home vs us (Saints) and at Ravens. I think you’ll have a decent feel on the season following that string. I think the last 7 games you play are all AFC games, so there will still be time to stack the conference record.
I haven’t forgotten what how y’all played prior, and I’m a Lewis fan. But there has to be a point where mediocrity is no longer tolerated.
spent and peppers, we have the Bucs/Falcons and Bengals/Steelers early games. I’d like to see the Bengals ball it this week. And also I’m hoping Tampa stomps Atlanta to 1-5

Unreal how many game-winning drives I have watched the Steelers have against us. All of the Bengals on my social media knew we gave Pittsburgh way too much time when scored with a minute left. Seen that movie a hundred times.

I don’t think it was an intentional joke, but after the Dolphins’ Kenyan Drake fumbled at the goal line on what would have been the game winning score in OT, the announcer said, “Drake is clearly in his feelings.”

For sure on purpose. I heard a college announcer make a similar joke a couple weeks ago.

When I was all caught up in ACL last weekend I fucking forgot to swap Mixon in for Gio. I had dropped Gio in another league too. I would be undefeated otherwise. Idk if I've ever beefed anything that hard in fantasy.

I lost the championship one year because I didn't start Tom Brady. I hadn't benched him all year but was worried since it was week 16 and against the Jets that he either would underperform or be benched. He only scored 8 points but I played big Ben instead who got me -2
NBC mentioned 11 was second most team sacks ever. Not inspiring for the Saints next weekend. I was wondering what it’s going to take to be #1 in the NFC. You could maybe see the rams going 13-3 so it could take that or more. It doesn’t make me optimistic that the saints can get #1. The week one choke could be big relating to the margin of error.
Also, Saints have a bitch schedule which would more seem to be a schedule that if you’re good, you might win 10 or 11. Or you have to fucking earn it.
