The coaches are not pleased with Fournette. I'm uncertain about his future with us tbh. When he got injured during the Jets game he actually left the stadium at half time, which is completely unacceptable. I texted my mentor who leads our PR department who would have more insider knowledge than anyone and he was just like, "Yes he just left, yes it is a big deal and in general he needs to grow the fuck up quickly."
1) Drew Brees throws his 500th TD 2) Drew Bree’s extends his all time passing record 3) Brees hopefully beats the Ravens giving him a win against every NFL team and becoming the 3rd QB to ever have accomplished that.
Record extension for 2 then and maybe 72,500 this week. Two is an alright number though. Brees will have most of the all time records when he retires and I think should be considered second best of all time behind Brady. Brees probably only gets the 1 if he wins two more Super Bowls.
Rodgers is superior to Brees. Look at the player not the stats.
I am. I don’t think it’s that close. Had the nfl not fucked us with the severe bounty gate penalties, we probably have at least 2 rings now to go with whatever else we still might get. Then the only conversation is Brees vs Brady. Also, you can’t weight 100% but stats over a career matter as do rings, wins, etc. Comparisons require at least some objectivity.
I have no hate for Rodgers. I think it remains to be seen what his body of work is going to look like. He’s tough. He can engineer a late important drive and he has a great arm.
Also, I just cracked my first Abita 30 x 90. Gonna be a quadruple header of football today. Someone we know made a pot of scratch red beans and rice. And I doctored up some salsa with pico from Ideal Market, fresh limes, cilantro and a fire roasted hatch chili pepper I found. Gonna be a partying ass day.

Uh what? Bountygate was disgusting and I think if anything, they didn't get punished enough. The Saints were out there purposefully injuring players and there should've been lifelong suspensions. Instead, only Kurt Warner never played again.
There were plenty of whispers that it was league wide and we were made an example of because of the CTI lawsuit. Everything we were accused of doing was on the field. You had teams legitimately cheating that got slaps on the wrist. Deflate gate, spy gate, etc. we lost our head coach for a year. We lost our gm. We lost our assistant head coach for half a season. We lost Williams who was banned at the time for life. We lost a second round pick and got fined a half mil. The players that sued back all won their cases (Vilma, Fujita, Hargrove and Will Smith). The administration was not subject to the CBA and had no recourse. I think your opinion is off on this.
Bountygate sucked or w/e, but it is an absolutely not an excuse for Brees's career resume being worse than it theoretically could have been
I can see that. But It matters in regard to conference championships and rings which are some strong points as to why Brady is where he’s at. In the end, Brees will set most of the records at least a couple of seasons ahead of Manning, Brady and Favre. And there are very few career-based records he won’t have, if any. Brees 3/4 rings v Brady becomes an equalizing comparison. I don’t know if any team could have recovered any better than we did.
Oh and King T, the fateful shot on Warner was a completely legal blindside block by Bobby McCray that sent him packing. It’s unfortunate that was it, but in no way would any other DLman not want a piece of this:

You might not like it, but no flag and no foul.
They would’ve just injured him on another play. Saying “there were whispers of it being league wide” is such a cop out. The Saints were purposefully injuring players. They deserved their punishment and then some. Not only is it showing little respect for the game, but the people who play it and the families of those people.

ESPN notified me that the Cowboys are looking into trading for Amari Cooper. I'd consider giving a first round pick for the 24 year old receiver worth it. I'd be upset if I was a Raiders fan after Gruden already dealt Mack.
It’s not a cop out. Numerous retired NFL players acknowledged it was part of the game. NFL was desperate at that point for a scapegoat to show they meant business. Those are pretty iron clad statements. Williams was who he was as a coach. He was pretty blunt and ugly sometimes, but most of his players here and prior stops loved playing for him. I came up in an era where defensive players put out fodder every week. I can’t tell you how many times heading into matchups with the 49ers where Jackson or Swilling said their main goal for that week was to knock Montana or Young out the game. That’s the late 80s and early 90s so not leather helmet by any stretch.
They have to execute that shit man. Have a play that’s nearly fool proof. I’m not sure that was even the first option. It’s do or die/put up or shut up type of play calling. If you like risk, you have to appreciate the call. We are going for the win. I don’t have the stats or percentages to know whether the 2 or kicking the extra point and taking your chance in overtime is the best chance.

I’ll criticize those players too. I think it’s bad. But I think it’s a bit more acceptable as the effect of concussions wasn’t thought to be as serious as we know they are now.
