Can someone give me any type of reason, particularly based on stats or sound logic, why we would put Rodgers ahead of Brees in a rankings? Seriously. Outside of the last minute Hail Mary pass or pure arm strength there is nothing to demonstrate why people would put him over Brees. "He's more fun to watch" or "he makes more throws out of the pocket" does not equal better all time QB
Do people do that? Brees’ legacy is far better than Rodgers’, I mean I know Rodgers has a ton of people that say he’s the best in the league, but I always took that to mean at this moment. Which is dumb, but he’s one of the NFL’s golden boys. I’ve always thought of him as being a tier below Brady, Brees and Manning.
3 factors: Regular season accomplishments Playoff success Raw skill
Brees has rodgers in the first one, they're even in the second one (Although rodgers has 3 more playoff wins in less years as a starter), and rodgers has brees in the third one
In terms of raw skill he’s probably the best the NFL’s ever seen, that hasn’t exactly translated to as much success as you would think. But I guess if you’re using Brady as the measuring stick you have to factor in Bellicheck.

Yea Brady isn't super skilled. He's patient and smart

What's happening with bortles? Did I miss an injury or something, or are they finally tired of him
The sideline reporter during the game said that it was a coach's decision. Since the backup didn't totally shit the bed, they might have coached themselves into a decision now. Also, there were a couple reports of unrest in the locker room postgame on Sunday. Wonder if it was anything or just reporters trying to drum up some drama.

Probably a little bit of both. Interesting to see what happens. I wonder if they'll sign someone or trade maybe.

Well one of the reports said that reporters were let into the locker room when Calais Campbell was having to physically restrain Yannick Ngakoue so...it can't all be drummed up if that's true. What a mess the Jaguars are.

Bortles sucks and Marrone basically said he would have liked to bench the entire starting offense but he doesn't have enough players to be able to do that. So benching the QB was his way of sending a message and trying to get a spark out of the team.
Yannick got into some sort of post game locker room scuffle that Calais had to break up. Jalen said something like "we all know what the problem is here we just aren't allowed to say anything." And I got some further evidence that everyone on the football side of this building is extremely disappointed with Fournette. I know it would be unlikely, but I'm not sure I want to share everything I heard yesterday in case someone here saw it and tweeted it.
Basically we are at rock bottom. The defense could turn things around, but I'm not sure if there is an answer on offense. The qbs and wrs are just so bad.
Kyle Boller could throw a ball 80 yards from his knees. We saw how that worked out for the Ravens.
Rodgers has applicable skills though. His ability to escape from the pocket, communicate with receivers downfield, run a 2 minute drill, toughness, etc.

Oh ya. Sorry - should have attached this to a quote. I was just responding to Kanye/Emoney's discussion about "skills" and specifically "athletic skills." I rate Rodgers personally so high because I think he has the immense physical skill and also mental skill. I'm a fanboy.
Loser of this game will be the NFC super bowl team
sounds about right, obv we will win and piss it down our legs at some point later in the season
I'm just basing it off anecdotal evidence that the loser in regular season usually wins the playoff matchup. Plus I don't trust the Rams in the postseason
For me, it's a look of utter confusion. Like he feels he hit it completely right and can't believe he missed.
isn't the stat he's made like 300 of those in a row before that?
edit:
The Ravens seemed to be in utter shock. Nobody was more shocked than Tucker, whose eyes were wide as he looked up toward the uprights. According to ESPN Stats and Info, he had connected on all 78 of his field-goal attempts from 33 yards or less in his career, so as he lined up for that extra point he had made 300 straight kicks from 33 yards and in. Wow.

222/222. First extra point miss of his career. It hooked like mad, so I wonder if the wind gusted up or something.

It was incredibly windy/gusty in the city yesterday so...maybe? I would just have thought after the first one was so close to a miss he would have thought to factor that in. Was a bummer way to end a great game.
