Do you think it's going to matter? If so, I am willing to bet you and up to 3 other Eagles fans straight up a wager of a $25.00 donation to charity of the winner's choice*.
I'm not going to bag on you if not. But I'll lay the option on the table 2 weeks out.
How about $25 for the division? I love what I'm seeing out of my team this year.
Sure. Although we beat you guys all 3 times last year, I think we're probably going to end up splitting weeks 15 and 17 with you. Even though it's only $25 for a good cause, it's a bit of a gamble for me because of our schedule. With you guys only a game back, you're right there on our ass. I don't think you are as good, but again, the schedules aren't really comparable. We're in the middle of some tough (or what appeared to be tough games) and certainly have just played our 3rd or 4th division leader in a row at the time. Here's the comparison
Us/Y'all
Week 10 - @ Bengals vs. @ Steelers (edge us)
Week 11 - Eagles vs. @ Detroit (edge you)
Week 12 - Falcons vs. Seattle (edge slightly you - we'll be on 3 days rest coming off late afternoon Sunday game)
Week 13 - @ Cowboys vs. @ Tampa (edge you)
Week 14 - @ Tampa vs. @ Browns (edge you)
Week 15 - @ Carolina vs. Saints (edge you due to home game)
Week 16 - Steelers vs. Falcons (edge you)
Week 17 - Carolina vs. @ Saints (edge us due to home game)
I think you guys have an easier schedule and could very well end up 11-5, 12-4 or 13-3. We're probably going to end up somewhere between 10-6 and 12-4 though we could go 13-3 if we can manage 6-2 the last 8 weeks. IDK if that's really doable or not for us. 4-4 or 5-3 is probably more likely. We could be playing for the division in Week 17.

Looks like that may have been a wise bet for you after that news.
Edit: wiser?
It's hard to say. He'll get some looks, and he's a former all pro. So he's just got to learn the terminology. Shouldn't take long. Our main issue with WR is that we've let so many go or they have retired recently. All we really have is Michael Thomas. He's one of the best, but he's not enough. Cameron Meredith was our biggest offensive free agent pickup. But he missed a bunch of time rehabbing. I don't know if he's still hurt or not, but he's not getting much time on the field. Tre'Quan Smith is proving to be decent and has good field awareness. But he's not there yet. We have a big dude Dan Arnold who gets an occasional target. But he's raw and probably will not amount to that much other than an oversized target. We're also pretty lacking at Tight End. We have a couple on IR, but mostly our guys are good blocking tight ends. Josh Hill and Ben Watson can both catch. But they're not really threats. So we really needed a secondary receiving option behind Thomas and RB Kamara.
We'll take him. There won't be any bullshit with us. He's just another weapon.
Oh, there will be bullshit.
And then it will be bullshit when another one of the best Cowboys of my lifetime wins a Super Bowl with another team.
I was happy for Ware. Dez.. remains to be seen.
We don't really have a culture where players are outspoken against the other players, coaches or team. All reports are that Dez is a great locker room presence, but got out of control with the ever-mediocre Cowboys of recent. I think he knows his role here, and he likely could earn a pretty solid contract from a decent team if he behaves and produces. He turned down some offers with some pretty decent teams (including Ravens) to wait for something favorable. Maybe this is it. If he can hold onto balls, Brees can hit him anywhere on the field in the hands. It's going to be on him. We were able to turn Ted Ginn into a pretty sure-handed receiver after many of his famous drops and misses at Carolina. Bryant, excluding this week, is probably going to get 4-7 targets a game for the rest of the year. Making the most of those opportunities probably lands him the opportunity to find a sweet spot next year with a contender. He's also going to be single covered or defenses will take us on primarily from one of the zone bases simply because you can't double cover Kamara, Thomas and Bryant. One is almost always going to have single coverage if not outright zone.
I think you're right. Maybe we sign Brandon Marshall if we can come up with the money. Saints clearly need a #2 option now since Ginn is on IR, Meredith just went on IR and likely Dez as well.
The Bills are starting Matt Barkley tomorrow. This will be the second time in about a month that they are starting a QB that joined the team two weeks prior. I think that he has already thrown an interception.
