We get the Eagles. We kicked Wentz’s ass back in November, but I don’t see another 48-7 beat down. We should win at home, but no one will take the Eagles or Nick Foles lightly. Plus the Eagles are and particularly Jenkins is Looking for revenge after Coach Payton threw Kamara at him when we were already up big. He double flipped off Coach but later said they dapped off after the game and it was just coach competing.
now that things have calmed down a little, here are my thoughts on the saints eagles game.
Eagles are playing their best ball right now, defense is starting to make plays, secondary isn't getting burnt to a crisp every play, and we're starting to create some turnovers. Nick has been playing well enough that I don't see this as another blowout. I think the revenge factor will play a part, but it's not like these guys need any more motivation. The things I don't like: that dome is a 1a or 1b hardest place to win as a visiting team, saints will be well rested, and biggest of all, they're just plain better in almost every aspect. The only positional group advantage that tilts in out favor is TE and maybe Oline (yall got some injuries right?), everything else tilts saints imo.
that being said, I'm not going to pick against them, 32-30 birds.
I can't imagine this game will be another blow out, either. After the Saints won 48-7, I didn't think the Eagles had a chance in hell to make the playoffs. Yet here we are. You lose 48-7 and then start getting red hot and look like a real contender. I must say that I'm very happy to be playing a team like the Eagles for our first game because let's face it: the Cowboys defense is perceived to be scarier. 48-7 loss aside, the Eagles have given up more points this season on a more consistent basis. I also love that the Bears are eliminated because I was frankly worried to play a defense of their caliber. The Saints O line is still banged up, despite having the extra week off.
So where do you go from 48-7 to now? Will it be a shootout in the Dome, with the score looking more like 35-34 instead of 48-7? Or will it be more like 14-7 than 48-7? And will that 48-7 Saints victory deter people from watching for fear that they'll see another score like 48-7? Shrug emoji, right?

Reasonable. I think media pundits were overhyping the Bears. "Which team can go into x's place and beat them?" They had been ESPN and NFL Network's sexy pick to be able to go into Los Angeles or New Orleans and win. Yet they couldn't win at home against the Eagles. I think the Eagles will be a bit spent after this past weekend. We do have injuries on the O-line, and we're likely not winning the Super Bowl without Terron Armstead back. He's got a partially torn pectoral/chest muscle. His backup at LT (Jermon Bushrod) is now done for the season I think. So it's going to be tough. I don't see the Eagles coming in and winning, but I could see them coming in to compete. I like it more Saints 30 - Eagles 17.
Colts plus points, over 57 Rams laying, under 49 Chargers plus points, under 46.5 Eagles plus points, over 50.5
That's without any research.
I'm with you on everything but the Chargers covering, think the Pats will let everybody know they're here on Sunday. Love the Colts this weekend - could easily see them pulling off the upset.

IDK if the Rams are more liable to cover the -7 vs. the Cowboys than the Saints are vs. Eagles. I think the Saints end up a bigger favorite. And while I do think we will win - and possibly cover - I'd likely stay away from that game. Also the over/under at 50.5 is such a tough guess. Is this going 20-13? 35-24? Tough to figure IMHO.
There has to be at least one NCAA level kicker living in the city of Chicago. It might be worth it to drive in from NIU if youre the kicker, don't have pro prospects and have a job lined up in Chicago.
I like the sentiment here, but are they talking about hitting a goal post from 43 yards or just hitting a field goal of 43 yards? I kicked in high school 15 years ago and I can still kick a 43 yard field goal. I think there would be a good number of people who would be successful, especially if you're an adult still playing in some adult league soccer or kickball leagues.
My name is Jake. My initials are J.A. My jersey number in soccer and eventually football was 25. So all my usernames and email in high school was a variation of jakicker.

I'm physically disabled now and I can at least kick a 30 yarder still, haha
Nah, he actually wanted to retire at the time and missed the game I guess. He gave us a great few years but had trouble getting stuff going the last few years. Would’ve been cool to see him develop Rosen though.
