Is anyone better at almost winning than the falcons?
It's been my experience (hoping the Falcons lose every game) that if it comes down to a Matt Bryant field goal, the Falcons win every time. If it comes down to Matt Ryan having to throw a touchdown, not so much.

It's honestly just sad. I'm a pats fan but live in ATL and I just feel straight up bad every day
Matt Ryan got paid. He's the 150 million dollar man. Most guaranteed money in the league. Can't make a touchdown with five tries to win the game. Under 50% completion. A pick and no TDs. People can credit the Philly defense if they want, but when you're being paid that much money you gotta be able to score a touchdown with five tries within ten yards.

Yea that's fair.
That wasn't a diss on you for saying Philadelphia has a strong defense, it was more about me just wanting to talk shit about Matt Ryan. Hate that guy so much.

No I know, it's a fair point. He shouldn't be paid that much if he can't put the team on his back like Rodgers or something. Julio was balling last night too, he should've been better straight up.
It's just really interesting to me how the offense hasn't really changed since shanahan left yet they are so much worse. I feel like some blame has to fall on sark.
Not saying sark called a great game by any means but Matt Ryan was off all night. Bad throws, locking down receivers, and panicking at any sign of pressure. 15 penalties and Philly's dline dominating up front didn't help either.
Neal out for the season now. The sky isnt falling but there looks to be a lot to fix and a very unforgiving schedule ahead. I can always be thankful for Ronald acuna and Georgia football if this season ends up being a completely depressing shitshow.

Don't count your blessings yet, SC waiting on the Dawgs tomorrow 😉

Not looking past USCe in Williams-Brice at all. Was torn about moving on from Richt initially but I'd go full-sang and tongue-clean Kirby's sweaty feet for what he has done for the program in such a short amount of time (could have hired Tom herman yikes). I've learned to lessen my expectations from years of sports-watching related trauma. Growing up with Atlanta pro sports teams defined by post-season incompetence and Georgia's near misses (2002 bcs title game snub - my favorite roster of all time, 2012 seccg and missing out on a near chipshot bcs title matchup vs ND, and of course last year's title game) wasn't easy. I wouldn't wish the feeling of super bowl LI on anyone.
my expert predictions:Browns overcome an ugly start to make a playoff push but come up short at 8-8, da bears defense carries trubisky to the wild card, Phil Rivers has a career year capped by edging out Captain Kirk and the Vikings in ATL.
AFC North champ: Steelers
AFC South champ: Jaguars
AFC East champ: Patriots
AFC West champ: Chargers
AFC wild cards: Bengals, Texans
AFC champ: Chargers over Steelers
NFC North champ: Vikings
NFC South champ: Saints
NFC East champ: Eagles
NFC West champ: Rams
NFC wild cards: Bears, Falcons
NFC champ: Vikings over Rams
Super Bowl champ: Chargers over Vikings
Most Valuable Player: Phillip Rivers, Chargers
Offensive Player of Year: Todd Gurley, Rams
Defensive Player of Year: Khalil Mack, Bears
Offensive Rookie of Year: Saquon Barkley, Giants
Defensive Rookie of Year: Roquan Smith, Bears
Comeback Player of the Year: David Johnson, Cardinals
Coach of the Year: Anthony Lynn, Chargers

So excited for tomorrow. We really need to get off on the right foot. My hope is that Yannick Ngakou begins a monster 15-17 sack season and that we utlize our two backs much more than last year - as a Jags fan, Fournette is overrated as of now. He can change that of course. Im ok with Blake throwing 1 pick if he connects on 2 deepish throws.
On the flip side we could just go back to being the same ole Jags.

We met coach Riveras' wife and son at the team store today. Its unreal seeing the stadium in person after 2 decades of seeing it on tv. Charlotte is a beautiful city, full of charm.

Haha. Alright, we're on $50/game for Saints v. Bucs both matchups (or 3 if you guys make the playoffs and get unlucky enough to face us).
I most likely will not be at that game, but you're certainly welcome to swing by the crib on your way intoout of town if you want to drink whiskey before heading into collect.
Deal
I hope you ate some pain medicine before taking the trip over. It’s gonna hurt badly. I’ll be in 638.
