Jamiroquai will contribute 0% to the "kiddies being back". It'll help attract the 30(ish)% of attendees that love music outside of "wubs" or "untz" though

Sounds good to me. That's why I love Hulaween, it has a much "older" vibe than say, Okeechobee. I'll see you guys there!

Definitely pumped to return to Hula. Jamiroquai will be fun, will definitely bring back some nostalgia, but looking more forward to seeing what indie/ alt bands are announced.
When is the lineup coming out? Gonna go ahead and buy a car camping pass soon in case Jamiroquai actually happens and Voodoo blows it. Can always resell it.
Zero chance I would camp at SOSMP without my car. Especially with the wookery going down with this festival.
Question for those of you that have been to Hulaween. Was just looking at their site and saw this: "How much room do we get with a Car Pass? How many people can fit on our site? The average camping site will accommodate up to six (6) people; one (1) tent; and one (1) standard car or SUV on a site (approximately 20’ x 30’ site). Please note that as we attempt to produce the show with the least possible impact on the environment and the beautiful venue, that camping sites may differ slightly from one to another."
Please tell me this is not implying that they tell you where to camp when you get there. I've got my regular Wanee spot I would be going to that is out of the way and definitely don't want some clown telling me where to go at SOSMP.
I’ve been the past 4 and no one has ever told me where to park or camp. It is a lot larger than Wannee so they really try and stop you from roping off spot’s for others who aren’t in yet. But other than that it’s like every other fest at Suwannee. Find your spot and enjoy.
I don't know. I'm torn because I really don't need to go to Austin in May, July, September AND October this year. I really, really, really want to see Paul McCartney and Metallica.
Awesome lineup outside of Rezz. Where she is on lineups these days is awful. I like 95% of everything else and particularly MM&W. Good to see Garaj Mahal back in action. Odesza takes over headlining status too because they are #2 behind Cheese. Seems a little overrated, but it’s a good tour.

Great lineup as always by Hulaween.
It’s nice to have an awesome, female producer near the top of lineups for a change.
Ahhh. Axe the Cables. I need to see ll)lllllllllll)llllllllll)llllllllllllll one day. I can't read what else that says but 3 Tribe sets over 4 days is awesome. Gotta be the best festival that just seems to fly so well underlllllll)

Ll the radar.
Edit: I don't know wtf happened to this post but I'm leaving it like this.

Awesome? I have no issue with the gender side of it, it's about the talent level. She's a Deadmau5 protege' and doesn't do almost any of her own shit. She might as well just sit on a couch and troll her crowd like he does sometimes. Many of the shows are simply reruns of the same couple of Bassnectar songs and other stuff she seems to always play. The glasses are gimmicky, and they appeal to those who gimmickry appeals to. I don't have a problem with the "mystique" built around her brand, but I think not only is the talent level pretty lacking, the shows are geared toward the masses and have almost no unique qualities to them. I'm not trying to come off as a hater, but she's not really not that good beyond surface level amusement. There are literally at least 2 dozen acts behind her who are either better DJ's or accomplished musicians.
Overall, the lineup looks great. Three nights of SCI is as good as anything else there is out there.
Odesza - great Coachella set Jamiroquai - An entertaining rare show, not a giant fan of the music, but I'd see it Janelle Monae - Possibly would be playing Voodoo also? Tipper - One of the best there is Revivalists - Good Vulfpeck - Always entertaining STS9 - Pretty much my favorite band Rezz - Does not impress me, draws big crowds of more newbie EDM fans Tory Lanez - I like him Gramatik - Top 3 or 4 producer in the world NGMTMRE - Eh Action Bronson - Okay Lettuce - Personally love them Trampled by Turtles - I think everyone but Memphisroo likes them Stephen Marley - Always good Bishop Briggs - Is okay, have seen a couple times Dr. Dog - Not as big of a fan as other people, but I think they're okay TROYBOI - Fine Medeski, Martin & Wood - Had little kids during the jam era and had to wait to Bonnaroo 2015 to see them. I wouldn't miss this set for anything (if I was going) Lizzo - Entertaining, cmack is a fan Mavis Staples - Old world talent Emancipator Ensemble - Always fucking good Snakehips - I don't like them Wood Brothers - I think are great Galactic is fine Polish Ambassador doesn't do much for me, but he puts on a good show Manic Focus Live Band - I personally love them Opiuo - I like him YMSB - Can play anything in bluegrass Turkuaz - One of the best funk acts in the game Trevor Hall - First name I don't really know Sunsquabi - Jamtronica act from Colorado I like (Boulder I think?) Bustle in Your Hedgerow - Sounds like a Led Zeppelin tribute band/act? Soulection - Decent for sure Justin Martin - A little housier sometimes that what I listen to, but founder of Dirtybird and have seen him Fisher - ? Kasbo - ? Future Rock - I like and have seen them Break Science Live Band - Excellent Ott - Always weird and different Rebirth - Rules Too Many Zooz - Like the music, not the spit drinker Clozee - Have seen, decent Eats Everything - Have seen, is okay Kill Frenzy - Saw, can't really remember Garaj Mahal - Back on the road after a long hiatus
Small print - Jade Cicda, Jen Hartiswick & Nick Cassarino, Maddy O'Neal, Roosevelt Collier Band all good. The Fritz is okay. I fucking HATE MZG, but for those who like Disco, you'll like it. It's a side-project of two brothers out of Greenhouse Lounge which was (R.I.P.) one of my all time favorite jamtronica bands. I just don't like MZG or Monozygotic.
Thursday pre-party is great. 3 sets of STS9 including Axe The Cables (best show I saw in 2017) is awesome. JRAD, Lettuce, Stringdusters, Floozies, Papadosio, Eoto & Friends, Minnesota, Psymbionic, Funk You <--- Reads like a day of Wakarusa.
Good job Hulaween. Now to figure out how many crossovers we're getting that weekend for Voodoo which I'll deal with in that thread.

Quickly bolded the acts i would love to see crossover with Voodoo.. We have similar tastes so I figured we'd have the same thoughts about these acts
I would kill for a Manic Focus live band set at Voodoo.. Dont think it'll happen, but man, give me JMac in the city and I'm 100% there

Do you have proof she doesn't produce her own songs? I think she puts on a fun show, even if it gets a bit same-y.

Bustle is the JRAD guys, but Zeppelin instead of the Dead
esteban - second your thoughts about garaj mahal, them back out on the road is one of the first things that stuck out to me as well.
Bustle in your Hedgerow is Joe Russo's Led Zeppelin instrumental jam vehicle, kinda like JRAD. Saw them LN at bonnaroo in 2013 and thought they were great.
