"Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski

Got to see Bruce Springsteen from about 10 feet tonight@ Toyota center in Houston. 2 and a half straight hours of full energy. I really dont see how this dude does it at his age.
Anyone going to the gaslight anthem show in Austin?
Garth Algar: Do you ever get the feeling Benjamin's just using us?
Wayne Campbell: Good call. It's like he wants us to be liked by everyone. I mean Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees.

so george clinton and parliament/funkadelic on 4/29 @ stubbs, and shpongle on 5/01 @ parish (both in austin). anyone down?
I'm pretty sure I'll end up at the George Clinton show....not having any money will be the only thing keeping me away, but it's just a few days after my birthday so maybe I'll get some tickets for that.
Did any of you go see Ratatat on Tuesday? It was awesome.

Mine's the 24th....I'll be 22 (the official birthday of never having anything to look forward to until 65).
I'm only 70% sure to be there around now....we can buy each other birthday shots if we're both there.
I'm in if ya'll want to meet a Roo virgin before June. I just asked my boyfriend for p-funk tickets for my birthday, so I'm pretty sure we'll go.
Also, if anyone is down....The Skatalites are playing at The Flamingo Cantina on 6th next Friday....it should be a good time. I've seen them before and it's always a good show.
