oh yeah, by the way...how does the camping work, because im reading things about tent/car this and tent-only that...do you pick where you want to camp when you buy tickets, or do you just pick a spot when you get there

Hey there Texas Rooers, hope everyone had a great weekend. My group is back up to 4+ with multiple cars, this is gonna be one sweet caravan coming from Texas!

the ghostland show is sold out...i am not familiar with their music, but have heard some good things...i found some tickets on ebay, but they are $90 a piece...how much were tickets originally selling for, and is seeing them worth $90...meeting people going to roo AND seeing ghostland observatory is one way to look at it though...i guess it just depends on if i can find a place to crash for the nite (dont like to drive from austin to san antonio too late at night)...any opinions and help with the overnight accomodations would be greatly appreciated)

They guide you into a parking spot, so if you are with someone dont lose them. They wouldnt let us adjust our cars when they gave us our spot, but you get a decent amount of space if you claim it quickly. And there is a tent only place, but just camp by your car, you can throw anything important into it, and you dont have to walk a mile because you forgot your sunscreen.

I have to state firstly that Ghostland Observatory is my favorite band. But, if i was in your position (not fimiliar with the band), then I don't know if i'd want to shell out $90. Unless you just have quite a bit of money to have fun with, then go for it! Another perk is that, with your ticket stub, you get their new album after the show!!!

in 06 we had a group of 10 in 3 cars. as long as you're right behind each other as you go in the gate, there shouldn't be a problem(or at least there wasn't for us)
btw...is everyone doing the car camping or are some of you doing tent only? i just think its ridiculous to haul all the crap to tent only. i can deal with the walk...i actually enjoyed it in the mornings.

we might do tent only, not only to be close but also to create a spot for the caravan to kick it if they need to but don't wanna walk to BFE and can be used as a meet up spot. I'm a cook/chef to be and most if not all of my group are chefs so we should have a pretty good thing going on in the mornings and in the evenings for those that need to refuel ;D

If you do tent only you're closer? I thought it was almost random.
I've worked with food 2 out of 3 jobs, I was a sous chef for 6months +. I always get stoney and come up with the craziest meals/combinations.
Do you go/went to UH? I went there for a semester and had to get out.

I graduated from UH last summer GO COOGS. Business major with a Marketing degree.
I actually wore an alumni shirt last year at roo, got a couple laughs from people cause its got the shocker on the back.

hell yeah, all are welcome! but hopefully we can get close enough spots in car camp that we won't have to do tent only. Mimosas, bloody mary's/or red beers and eggs benny every morning!
