Updating a thread that probably already exists. Now that we’ve seen a flood of reunion tours in the past few years, what potential bookings are left? I’m particularly interested in mid-level bands that would find a small but eager fan base if they got back together (like the recent Wolf Parade tour), but I don’t have many ideas on that front.
Thoughts? Here’s what I have off the top of my head.
Probably not gonna happen: Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Talking Heads The Smiths
Seems likely eventually: REM Oasis
Other potential reunions: Dre and Snoop Dire Straits Girls Darkside
Regarding Genesis, Phil Collins' health doesn't appear to be great. He is touring, but will be seated during the shows. I think maybe his son is drumming?
So I'm not sure if we'll see Collins behind a drum kit again, but I suppose the "and then there were three" lineup could reunite with someone else drumming and Collins just doing vocals? I doubt Gabriel will ever tour with them again.

never got to see REM, made the dumb mistake of not attending the Voodoo fest of their last tour. it would be a great time for them to reunite and tour, I think it would be a big deal. i think stipend is the only hold out, if he said go i think they'd go.
Other potential reunions: RATM The Verve Pavement The White Stripes Clipse Spice Girls The Walkmen My Chemical Romance Odd Future The Maccabees Wild Beasts Doves The Black Crowes Das Racist Fugazi Black Sabbath

People who know these things will swear REM is shopping around a reunion, it just hasn’t come together yet.
nah. I don't think kim gordon wants to forgive thurston moore, and I don't think he is asking for it. Ban reunions are one thing, but when there was an ugly divorce involved it adds another layer.
I think RATM will happen in the next 10 years. All the members are still somewhat active and three of them are already out there playing those songs. I'd imagine the itch is definitely there for them, they're just in the classic predicament of convincing their frontman.
I don't see Meg having any interest in proper touring or performing as the White Stripes, but as was said, some intimate benefit gig wouldn't be out of the question.
Would also like to see CSNY (woodstock 50th babyyyyyy)

Well if this is under consideration then how likely is *NSYNC? Seeing the mixed reactions towards Justin's new material, I'm starting to think maybe his next tour shouldn't be a solo one. Something with a little extra "oomph" perhaps?

Some I don't think have been mentioned yet. Couple of these are technically possible but given current age/health of prominent members still seem incredibly unlikely. Also put last time played together in (parenthesis) for reference.
The Byrds (1991/2000 one offs) Sly and the Family Stone (1975 + 2010 Coachella nonsense) Joni Mitchell (not really reunion per se) (2000) Creedence Clearwater Revival (1972) Roxy Music (2011) Sex Pistols (2008) Derek & the Dominos (or Cream 2/3rds) (1970 (2005)) N.W.A. (1990) Jefferson Airplane (1996) The Jam (1982)
Oasis probably will happen within the next 5 years. It’s honestly just a matter of when Noel and Liam have squeezed every last drop out of their solo careers.

The Walkmen will happen at some point. Maybe not until 2020 or after, but it'll happen.
Hopefully Blur will come out of their (short) hiatus and play some shows in 2019 or shortly thereafter. Even if they only do a handful every couple years, it'll keep the diehards happy. It's all a matter of Damon's mood at any given moment.

Liam pretty much just started his solo career?
The Liam / Richard Ashcroft tour hasn't done well here.
Would see the Verve though. Rily Kiley NMH (again) Outkast (again)
