This is on my shortlist of fests to check out in the next year, but the only artists I know prenviously are Nils Frahm and Jlin. Any advice on where to start/Spotify playlist or anything of that sort?

Of the stuff that's confirmed: The Messthetics - The Messthetics Irreversible Entanglement - Irreversible Entanglement
Actually, I have a lot to say about this (so far). I'll be home in a bit and hook up a playlist if no one else has.
I'll also say this fest is just gorgeous. One of my favorite thing is meeting artists outside of their concerts and hearing them clamoring about how great this festival is. The city, the venues, the food; it's all top notch. Just bring a Segway and run the opposite way if Dave Maynar tells you about a shortcut.

I missed Irreversible Entanglements being on here, checked them out since they played Pitchfork this year and they sounded pretty cool

You probably know The Messthetics, too. It's Joe and Brendan from Fugazi with Anthony Pirog playing guitar.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The idea that people have heard one or zero Fugazi albums just does not compute.
Nobody's perfect! I mean, we're on a Bonnaroo message board and I'd wager that 9 out of 10 attendees this year have never heard of Fugazi
Oh. I totally understand that people haven't heard of them. They're just such a big part of personal music history that I can't conceptualize not knowing them.
Should also note that Anna von Hausswolff canceled her Days of Darkness appearance and East Coast dates. If you guys could rectify this tragedy catfoodparty , it would be greatly appreciated.

My top-tier list of the artists announced so far:
Alvin Lucier Clarice Jensen & Jonathan Turner Coupler (live score to the 1933 film Dragnet Girl) Ever Present Orchestra Joan La Barbara Nils Frahm The Messthetics
... and if the film portion is even half as good as it was last year (honestly, it's going to be hard to top the experimental 3D theme they had), I highly recommend making some room for it.

They were after my time. We listened to Minor Threat and the Meatmen which were forerunner bands. But I rarely ever listened to much of the late 3rd wave/early 4th of US Punk. That’s me who was around at that time. I think a lot of people on the forum might have been really young when Fugazi carried the torch for US Punk and hardcore. JMO
Silver Apples, too. That was my wtf moment a few years ago.
Yah. People are from Knoxville, you dicks.
I mean RVA can claim Das EFX and Jason Maraz. Everybody has to come from somewhere. Right?
"Pop"
Calling it now.
E: Didn't realize the FB and Twitter were different. Facebook reads ".. from jazz & classical to pop & electronic .. " This was way more funny in my head.
