god fun. would be a huge disappointment. Nate Ruess was garabage the year he played.
Yeah his solo stuff wasn't great, but at least for me Some Nights is one of the best LPs to come out in the last decade. The production is great, the lyrics (for the most part) are great and when I saw them in 2012 they killed it in Providence.
Here comes the 'lol ur 20 screw you and ur terrible music taste the strokes are the greatest thing ever you don't know GOOD music' comments haha. And while yeah, I get why the Strokes are such a massive deal idk, maybe I'm not listening to them enough. To each his/her own.
Again though, I'm prepping to be underwhelmed with all the 'lineup is underwhelming' thing. B/c while yes I guess fun. would be very very great news to some people and when TOP is another top-line artist- that's a dream for some but I can see how even that can be said as 'underwhelming'
some dude apparently thinks Fun. is gonna reunite and headline saturday night from rumors he heard. hoping thats not the case but its something i could see em doing.
Sadly, that sounds better to me than most of the possible headliners mentioned. I merely dislike Fun. I loathe Travis Scott, Kanye West, and 21P.
Damn, I have a conference call at 9 am tomorrow morning. Looks like I won't be able to devote my complete attention to the lineup drop. That's the biggest "Shake my fist at the heavens and curse God for breaking my heart, once again" moment I get all year. #sigh
I think fun. would be good. I like-but-don't-love them (Bleachers is better) but it would be a pretty big deal, they were good in 2013, and most importantly it would be 10000x better than Travis Scott or 21P. On the other hand, if we get them over Florence then I'll be pissed. Really, they'd be a great #4 or 5 on the lineup, but that would never happen if it was their first show in several years. I think this is probably just a rumor, though. I'd be really surprised if it was real.
My personal undercard wishlist, based loosely on other lineups and availability, is rather lengthy and includes (in no particular order):
Vampire Weekend, Odesza, Death Cab, Chvrches, Father John Misty, Kacey Musgraves, Sza, Solange, Chromeo, Rufus du Sol, Walk the Moon, Sofi Tukker, Young The Giant, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Girl Talk, Lord Huron, Blood Orange, Matt and Kim, Pusha T, Years & Years, Snail Mail, Charli XCX, Joyce Manor, Bishop Briggs, Jungle, Foxing, Low Cut Connie, The Band Camino, Gang of Youths, Hop Along... and if one of the local openers could be No Hope/No Harm that would be lovely.
If I get even a third of those, I'll be pretty happy.

tbh where are they right now? like they did that 1 tour and album and nothing else??? That Aggains show sold out if i recall, and I missed it. now THAT Would be a nice surprise, again pretty sure they havent been announced for many (if at all) festivals this year so that would be very dope to see

They're working on a new album as far as I know, it was supposed to come out before the end of the year but that didn't happen so I dunno. Hot Chip is in the UK on Friday of Boston Calling, so it's very unlikely LCD is playing.
LCD would be amazing, but they have 0 shows announced right now so I would be absolutely stunned if they played. Alternatively, if Cardi B happens, i'll be actively running the other direction toward whatever else is on.

jokes on you, she's playing a 5pm unopposed green stage set, and for those three hours they are not allowing anyone to leave the fest or go inside the comedy arena.
