Argument for Lilly Allen: One of her albums has similar name to album not shown in clue and currently has a hair color close to an image within the clue.
Argument for Migos/Quavo: Supposedly featured on Yandhi which is actually depicted on clue and has a song called Bubble Gum which is literally in the clue as well.
It's Kanye or Kids See Ghost. Why would the person making clues pick something that's gonna make everyone guess Kanye but is actually shittier
Argument against that (and, Lord, please protect me for daring to speak against Yeezus in any way at all): GovBall has never, ever teased a headliner in these social media clues. Kanye, by himself, is a headliner-grade artist - I can't see any logical world in which, if he were booked, he wouldn't be a headliner. So, those two things taken together mean it can't be Kanye.
So, what's the other option? Kids See Ghosts are already rumored for this festival based on chatter from the Coachella board, so it could be them. But I think they're *also* a headliner-grade booking...I mean, maybe not, but there'd have to be a pretty huge hip-hop name involved (the only one I can think of off the top is Drake) to push them to the undercard, it seems to me. Plus, I'm not sure what the Kid Cudi connection to the clue is, if it's that.
Then why use the Yandhi cover then? I think it’s either Migos or Quavo.
Her last album was called Sheezus
That albums 4 years old. Her most recent is No Shame. Super lame clue though. Don’t know who thought that this was a good idea. It’s not even the Yeezus cover.

I mean Alan Turing isn’t making these clues, you guys. I agree Kanye is the obvious answer, but since it seems unlikely they’re putting a headlining in there just trying to think of some other possibilities. Quavo is a good guess too, although having a feature on an album that doesn’t exist yet loses me a little.

Yeah I totally spaced on that being the actual Yandhi cover and not a Yeezus reference.

Actually I think this is the genius in the clues marketing.....people can make the clues into whoever they want to believe it is and buy presale tickets or tell their friends

That’s shitty marketing and how you damage a brand. Those people would probably just sell their tix.

I disagree... it drums up interest....i dont think it damages a brand at all... they aren't guaranteeing anything and if others sell their ticket its a loss for the buyer not the company

A couple more of the VHS clues have been revealed that point pretty clearly to Florence & the Machine. I think it's fairly close to a lock.
So. If the rumors from the Coachella board are true (which would make me sad, but whatever):
Florence & the Machine - Kids See Ghosts - ????
Who ends up in that third slot?
Also, I have to imagine that Florence being in a headlining slot would put the "Is The 1975 a headliner?" debate to rest. I have a hard time believing they'd book two English pop/rock bands out of three headliners.
Who the hell is kids see ghosts. Are you taking about a headliner?
Yes. Kids See Ghosts is the collaboration between Kanye West and Kid Cudi. They put out a record this year and just headlined Camp Flog Gnaw to rave reviews. Someone on the Coachella board was apparently indicating that they're playing GovBall, and given their profile, I'd have a hard time picturing them in anything other than a headlining slot.
Bums me out, personally, because fuck Kanye, but I'm obviously not the one who gets to decide these things.

As a Kanye fan, ex stan, the CFG KSG set seemed like a mess. Ye forgot lyrics, which is normal, but he forgot words to lyric-forward songs. Cudi seemed happy and into it, which is nice to see, but came off flat to me. Cool to see the two of them do a set together, sure. Didn't come anywhere close to living up to the hype though, to me. Plus the set lasted about an hour. If that. Having seen Yeezus and Saint Pablo, I never thought I'd be underwhelmed to see Ye at the top line. 2016 seems like a decade ago

Yes in today’s fest market. Besides KSG who has done an hour set?
Travis Scott’s full set from this year is up on YouTube, and the video is only an hour long. I was at Gaslight Anthem, but others I know were there, and said it was a short set, so that tracks.
