The headliners are not huge for me but I still think this is an amazing lineup. Chem Bros, Tame, Rosalía, Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip, Lauryn Hill, Wu Tang, Kamasi, The Good The Bad and The Queen, Mavis Staples, Pond, and Little Simz are all varying degrees of awesome bookings.
Who is Kylie? Jenner? What is she going to do? Stand on a stage for 50 mins while everyone stares at her?
Stormzy? who?
I love Tame but other than them and Pond, Yawn
You don't know who Kylie Minogue is? Not my scene, but she's a gay icon and was the European/Australian equivalent to Madonna in the 90's. She was originally supposed to headline about 10 years ago and she was diagnosed with cancer so they're bringing her back in the Sunday afternoon "Legends" slot.

Bored at work, so was just trying to spark some convo on here.
But to answer your question: "Cant get you out of my head" was a good jam back in the day. That's about all I know of her though.
According to the Glasto site this is only the initial lineup for Pyramid, Other, West Holts, John Peel, and Park stages. Looks like there's still about 40-50 acts still to be announced to fill out those stages, as well as the full lineups for Arcadia, Silver Hayes, The Glade, and about 20 other stages.
To be fair, I originally typed out a whole thing about how this was a weak start for Glasto but I’m sure this was just the first of several announcements, but I had a migraine so I kept it short.
But I still think this is a weak start by Glasto standards. Will be interesting to see who gets added.

Wow which bands are you most excited to pretend to see there?
Why are you so obsessed with me? I had a great time at the 2018 edition...sooooo many fun sets

Some really good stuff on here but it’s still well below Glasto standards imo. I thought the Stormzy booking was at least neat but to pair him with The Killers and Kylie is....hm. Like The Cure, Tame Impala, The Cyrus booking is cool, Chem Bros, Janelle, Hopkins, tGtBtQ, Streets, Marr and some others. It’s great in terms of diversity but there’s also a lot of filler on here that I feel Glasto books every year. Almost made this year happen but I’m happy to postpone it a year or two in hopes of something more up to their standards. Glad you all like it.
The funny thing is that in Europe poeple dont care that much about #1 or #2. Glasto just knocked every NA fest out of the park and you're all complaining. Tame Impala is headlining Coachella in case you forgot.

Literally 10+ names on this poster that could headline a mid-size fest
If you look at a Glastonbury lineup and are turned off by one headliner, don't go to Glastonbury. It's not for you

And Kasabian headlined Glasto and played the Mojave tent at Coachella. Diplo is bottom half at Glasto, but nobody in America even knows who George Ezra is. Turns out different acts have varying degrees of popularity across the pond, who knew?

posters with the killers at #1 just look ugly to me. obviously this is leagues better than any fest I could possibly go to this year, and has more acts on the way. But by Glasto's standards idk it just doesn't wow me like other recent ones have.
I don't know how to break it to you guys, but you don't go to this festival for headliners. True, I had the Rolling Stones, but that's beside the point. There is so much more here than the music. This festival is a pilgrimage. It's a fucking institution. It is to be revered. You put it on your bucket list. And if you are lucky, you get to go. And if you are really lucky, you get to go more than once. And if you are beyond lucky (me) you have hardly any rain.

If it was as easy to go to Glasto as it is Roo for me, I’d be loving it, but you have to hold these fests to different standards. I was a bit let down by Coachella but I’d still take it over Bonnaroo, which I was satisfied with.
That being said, I would still absolutely go this year if it was a bit more in my range.

I actually like the Coachella and Primavera lineups better than this initial poster. I say that with the caveat that I go to festivals for the lower lines and smaller sets. Glastos initial lineup is all the big names and heavy hitters. By the time they finish announcing names every year, it seems like they’ve booked almost every fucking current touring act and then some. It always ends up being the best lineup for me at the end of the year. I still have no clue how they fit all the acts in. I’ve never been over the pond and for sure have this fest on my bucket list.
