Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This has Chem Bros, The Cure, and Hot Chip (three acts I’d probably want the most at any fest right now) with some solid touring acts. You people are crazy. Not to mention the other stages will be filled with critically acclaimed rock and electronic. I don’t get how this fest doesn’t live up to standards, but some of us feel like Bonnaroo is back on track. If anything all of these lineups just give us a glimpse into the state of festivals right now and things aren’t the greatest, but I would take this over most fests any day.
I'm going this year for my first and probably only time. Is it an amazing lineup? Maybe not, but I still like it! And from everything I've heard about Glasto - I don't want to be mad dashing from stage to stage due to a completely stacked lineup, so this is good. There's plenty I'm interested in on this lineup already, and I want to have time to simply explore the festival.
Who knew that suggesting that a Glastonbury with a B- lineup is less interesting than a Glastonbury with an A+ lineup would rankle so many feathers?
It's okay fellas, Glastonbury can still hold the #1 spot in your heart no matter what the bad people say.
It's OK, you have not been. You can't understand. I and say that with no animosity or sarcasm.
Oh no I understand fully. Glastonbury is the greatest place on earth where there are never thousands of stupid flags blocking your view which may seem terrible and stupid to a non-Glasto goer but once you're there and can experience the stupid flags in person you'll realize that it really makes everything better to rarely see the stage which is counter-intuitive but you have to experience it to really understand but be careful because then you'll demand that dipshits with dumb flags block your view everywhere you go because it's so convenient and no mud to trudge through but if the grounds are a disgusting muddy shitshow then that shitshow is part of the charm and only makes the fest greater because you can't really understand how great standing in puddles and being covered in mud is unless you've actually done it yourself at Glastonbury and then you're gonna wanna stand in mud bogs at every festival you go to and there's no shitty camping to deal with but once you've experienced Glasto's shitty camping then you'll never stay in a hotel or rental house again because shitty camping will win you over and every single Glastonbury is precisely and exactly just as equally great as every other Glastonbury and anyone that suggests that the relative quality of the acts in any particular year may provide a marginally better or worse overall experience at the festival is wrong because headliners never matter and that is especially true in years with shit headliners but in years with great headliners then headliners really matter a lot because they show the depth of the lineup and the great headliners are then further proof of how great Glastonbury lineups are.
I and say that with no animosity and definitely no sarcasm.
Anyone know when to expect the rest of the lineup? I saw in the past that the individual stages released posters with the full stage lineup, but does anyone know when these were released in the past?
Also, Jeff Goldblum self confirmed via BandsInTown, I'd assume he'll be on the Avalon, which hasn't released any acts yet.

Guys, it's ok to both admit that "Glastonbury is maybe THE premiere festival experience on the planet and should not be solely dependent on headliners" AND "this is a very weak lineup for Glastonbury standards, which is in line with most 2019 festivals announced so far."
Because the things we're talking about are 100% tangible?
what druid said is 100% tangible?
Yes, just because you lack the necessary information and experience to understand something does not mean it is intangible or has any relation to "vibez"
People, including me, are very protective of this ol' festival, but there's a few saying it's not the best initial lineup for their tastes.
Honestly, it suits me if that's the case! There's plenty there that I like, I'm in need of tickets in the resale AND they have announced about 20 less acts than usual at this stage, so there's lots of artists on the 5 main stages still to come. If some (for want of a better word) "casuals" are put off and no longer want to go, and more who are desperate to go can get tickets, then all the better.
Hot Chip are headlining the Park stage on the Saturday night btw, that's going to be incredible!! Clashing with The Killers, Wu Tang, and whoever replaces The Prodigy on the Other Stage. Party time. As long as I'm there...
To celebrate, here's their 2015 West Holts stage headlining set. Some songs have been blocked, so follow the link in the description for the next track.

Hm. Interesting take. Thanks.
FWIW, I was just asking a question. It just seems like a more eloquent way of seeing vibes. Haven't been to Glastonbury, also haven't been to Bonnaroo since 2016. I have been to Roskilde, Sziget, and some other smaller festivals in Europe. Don't really care about vibes, tho.

No that's not okay because it contains an implied criticism of the Glastonbury lineup as less than perfection, which is very very bad to do under any circumstances and for any reason.

Yeah, pick 2 or 3 each day you have to see at all costs, then play it free and loose for the rest of the time. At least that's worked for me in the past. Also like I said, there's been less announced for the first drop than usual, still a good amount to come from the big stages.

Whatever you do, don't go look at the lineup reaction comments on the Glastonbury facebook page. The overwhelming majority are bagging it, which tells me one thing...all those thousands of disappointed Brits must have never been to Glastonbury cause they just don't understand.

I’m sensing a hint of animosity and a smidgen of sarcasm.

I have never experienced Glastonbury, but from everything I've heard, you typically only see a handful of acts a day anyway because you're busy exploring, doing non-music things, everything is far from everything else, etc. So yeah, feels pretty right to judge the lineup off the ~65 biggest acts I'd probably be most likely to see.

Only a true Glastohead knows that you always judge the lineup by strength of the bottom 1,935 acts that you've never heard of.

The fact that you assume those are the 65 biggest acts illustrates perfectly that you are arguing from a place of ignorance

I learnt that here today.
To be fair, that happens eeeeeevery single announcement, every year. Glastonbury holds a place in Britain's cultural landscape in which many who don't even go feel the need to comment, it's weird.
