Who is Kylie? Jenner? What is she going to do? Stand on a stage for 50 mins while everyone stares at her?
Stormzy? who?
I love Tame but other than them and Pond, Yawn
You don't know who Kylie Minogue is? Not my scene, but she's a gay icon and was the European/Australian equivalent to Madonna in the 90's. She was originally supposed to headline about 10 years ago and she was diagnosed with cancer so they're bringing her back in the Sunday afternoon "Legends" slot.
Yeah, I just like seeing what the opinions are like over here.
Well I want to know something. Why do you heathens eat pork & beans for breakfast? I found a lovely place I got breakfast every day at Glastonbury. And I would order it without beans. And they would stick those frickin beans all over it every time. I ate it any way. But WTF?

Pork? Like, sausages? That sounds like part of a traditional English breakfast to me. Now, pancakes, with syrup, in the morning? That is a very very strange thing.
But a good thing. The Beat Hotel at Glaston does excellent pancakes with your choice of fruits or bacon with it, mmmmmm.
Never had a flag or totem interfere with my view. Js
Oh then no one else has either and it's a non-issue.
I just wonder why the festival made the effort to conduct a big public poll on such an irrelevant non-issue a few years ago...doesn't that seem like a waste of time? And why would there be a bunch of threads on e-festivals about it? And why can you google it and find a truck-ton of news articles and images about it? And why does the BBC use mainly close-ups and stage shots on its broadcasts because every time they cut to a wide angle or longer shot the stage is barely visible through the sea of flags?
I mean obviously you're not minimizing anything so there must be another rational explanation for this disconnect. Maybe emoney can blow the lid off this conspiracy.

"Coachella's selfie crowd is out of hand and ruins the experience".

I did an angry google search on this topic and found a ton of material, so it must be true.
Also, fat white family just talked a whole bunch of shit about idles, so that should be fun.
I hope they're on after each other on the John Peel stage. They do stuff like that sometimes. That's another quirk about this festival. Away from the Pyramid and Other stages, and Park stage because that was Emily's baby before she took over overall control of the festival, each stage/area has their own booking team, which helps to give each part of the festival its own feel and atmosphere, and really diversify the lineup.
Any first timers, I recommend having a good look through the 'areas' section of the official website, gives a good idea of what's going on beyond the headliners.
That troll is funny btw, just don't take them too seriously.

I've been to Coachella 8 times and never saw anyone take a selfie. Js
Don't bother angrily searching google/instagram either. Even if you find thousands of images of Coachella selfies and find hundreds of videos of people taking selfies that doesn't make it true.

I’ve been to Coachella 7 times and I’ve seen an absurd amount of people take selfies. My favorite was the year Kendrick headlined. Everyone was bumping Humble, which blatantly bemoans Instagram, while taking Instagram selfies. The irony was lost on them.

Oooh, is that bad? At first I thought definitely yes, but is it unacceptable with the context of them being of Algerian descent? Is that ignorant of me to ask?
Haha, from that, the fact that there was a big cheer after this, shows that Glastonbury already has a healthy self-deprecating streak that renders Farty's posts redundant:
Elsewhere in their Glastonbury set, Sleaford Mods took potshots at the festival itself. “We expected more heads,” Williamson told the packed tent before ‘Jolly F*cker’. “Me and Andrew are professional musicians. I can’t believe everyone is in the toilets cos the toilets are f*cking sh*t here. Everything is f*cking sh*t here.”
Later, he made reference to the “price of the tickets” and at another point shouted, simply, “F*ck off Glastonbury”.
I don't know how to break it to you guys, but you don't go to this festival for headliners. True, I had the Rolling Stones, but that's beside the point. There is so much more here than the music. This festival is a pilgrimage. It's a fucking institution. It is to be revered. You put it on your bucket list. And if you are lucky, you get to go. And if you are really lucky, you get to go more than once. And if you are beyond lucky (me) you have hardly any rain.
Your “you wouldn’t understand” spiel comes off as pretentious and condescending to a board full of people who have been to as many festivals as you have.
I get that Glasto is bigger than the sum of its parts - but when the supposed gold standard of festivals comes out with a C+ lineup, it leaves something to be desired. So forgive me if I’m not revering George Ezra and The Killers just because they happen to be in a field in the UK and not in a field anywhere else.
Here I was thinking something interesting was happening in this thread
Nope. We are just arguing for the sake of arguing.
I think we all can agree that the Killers are the least exciting headliner that's active right now. They are the same as the Kings of Leon. No argument there, right?
