If you don’t do worthy view and come in by coach do they direct you where to camp in GA or do you just find a spot?
How is GA camping laid out? Bc in photos it looks like it’s just a free for all, like tent only at Roo. Or are they plotted out spots like car camping at Roo (obvs without the car).
At first I was a little annoyed WV didn’t go on sale when you buy tickets, but now I’m kinda happy to have time to weigh the pros and cons. I think I’m still leaning WV, but it would be nice to be to closer to everything.

GA is a straight up free for all. Which was kind of weird but people are cool. The worst part is just trying to walk out to a road as everyone's pegged down and it feels like mission impossible at times
For me...because it would be our first time, I'd rather take the WV pre-set option. Its not like I'd turn down GA if that is the only option...….just seems like less to worry about with WV. Might change my mind if I get lucky enough to go there a couple of times.
I’ve done Glasto 3 times. Tipi Village, Yurtel, Ziggucamp. Highly recommend renting a pre-erected tent/yurt/structure at one of the many on or off site locations if you’re flying in from the US and can afford it. I’m probabaly going to go for Tipi Village this year.
Yea, Cap'n Mac and I talked it over more yesterday and I think we're still going to go for WV. Flying in from Australia and this being the last stop on our 4-5 week trip, dealing with organising camping gear is just going to be too much. WV may be out of the way, but it just makes much more sense for our situation.
Good to know what to expect if we don't get a pre-erected campsite tho. Bc obviously, like someone said above, not getting WV won't keep us from going, but it's a strong preference.

Just finished reading over this and this is SUCH a good guide. Thanks for sharing!
Remember when people got mad about Kanye headlining lol I imagine the internet will be angry and she will be the biggest ticket mover of the weekend
How is she gonna move tickets if she wont be announced ( if she plays ) til after its sold out. It sells out because nobody cares who is playing, they just know its going to be an incredible weekend regardless if headliners..
People were mad about Kanye because he is a black man. If you didn’t ever consider the racism there still is in the uk, youre just blind. People even got upset with Stormzy headlining, and he is british.

Zero interesting in seeing Taylor, but last year we skipped all three Pyramid headliners too. If you’re not interested in seeing here there are literally 25 other options, do yourself a favor and head over to the SE corner early to avoid the queues to get into some of the venues.

You were doing alright until you admitted to skipping the Cure.

I know, we skipped The Cure for Janelle Monae. We really wanted to see The Black Madonna in the Downlow so we figured it’d be easier to go from WH to Block9 than from Pyramid to Block9.
Which 2 are most likely? Swift and 1975? Still have a shot at Macca/Neil.
Also, I can't really gauge his popularity right now, but I could see Skepta back in a prime spot.
Pretty much seems that The 1975 are in, which is sad to say. Yes they have that uk tour in feb but its outside of the usual “radius clause” glasto has for acts playing. Since they dont announce til the end of march, feb is their december essentially. Skepta could be an Other Stage closer since they like to put uk rappers there or in john peel.
On the coach sale....its my understanding that one of the options you need to choose is departure/arrival day. i.e. some times are for Weds and some times are for Thurs. From the website, last year's schedule shows some music on Weds/Thurs but most/all of the bigger names start up Friday. Ideally, I think my choice would be Weds as that would allow us to get in and get used to the site and see some acts. My question is, How bad is it if you arrive in Thurs? Would people still take the ticket if the only choice is Thurs?

Thursday before than nothing but you want to be there Wednesday if possible. It’s the best day to explore and get a feel for the festival. They burn the wooden Phoenix and set off fireworks Wednesday night as the official opening to the festival.

People will take any ticket they can. And you dont have to take the coach on thursday, nobody is forcing you to do that. Just consider that you might burn that extra money by getting a ticket 3 days early regardless of the arrival. I dont know if they just send you a digital ticket for the coach if you purchase this way, and if they do, you could sell it to somebody and maybe get some money back. Theres a decent amount of people who arrive thursday. Arriving weds is the best thing to do, you want to set up your tent and pick where you want to be. Music officially begins friday. Theres some music thursday, but those 2 days are really for exploring and such. And yeah, they burn the phoenix plus the fireworks and just watching the solstice sunset on the hill in the park.
Registration has closed, so thats that. 3 days and counting. And apparently theyre going to enforce visa verify and mastercard verify to complete your purchase. Double check that info so you dont get stuck.
I actually went on SeeTickets and purchased something to see if my card would have issues. If you look up "Chelsea Physic Garden" they let you purchase/make a 1 pound charitable contribution. My transaction went through without an issue and I did see the Visa verification notification (with no prompt or code that I had to enter). Also, if you didn't see, Glastonbury posted a much more detailed description of the selling process:
