National express is expensive if youre going out from london or just far away. I took a coach from bristol and it was 25gbp, a nice bargain and only an hour trip to the site. More options pop up later on. Its too early for everything else to come up yet. And you can buy camping supplies at the festival for a fair price, the arent going to gouge you just because you didnt bring equipment. They even sell wellies and they arent pricey.
Touchdown!!!! Got tickets within the first 10 mins and a round trip coach from London leaving on Weds.
Did you refresh on the 20 second page or did you just let it do its thing?
edit: I made the mistake of refreshing one minute before on sale time. Not sure if that caused me to lose my place in line.
hate to break it to you, but there is no queue system for this sale. theyve purposefully kept an arcane sale system in place for this just to mess with everyone. even though it would be best to modernize things, they just dont want to. it is pure randomness and luck.
I started refreshing on all three of my devices a few mins before the sale opened up. If I remember correctly, I got the Weds/Thurs on 2 of the three and then went to the busy page. Two of the devices were either frozen on a page or doing bizarre things trying to refresh the page. One of these 2 was going through a VPN and the other was going through a 4G phone hot spot. Of note, the machine on the VPN connection was almost useless. Basically, refreshing on those two machines gave very inconsistent results (mostly bad). Not sure that auto refresh would have been any better and it would have been much slower.
The one that got through was on my regular home network PC (using Edge) which is hard wired into my router. It was strange, I only refreshed it a handful of times (allowing the page to load each time). The page either came back in 2-3 secs or took a little longer a few of the times (15+ secs). The next thing that I knew, I was on the registration number page. I was so shocked that I stared at it for a while before I even started entering my data. For some reason, cut and paste wasn't working properly on the page and I had to manually enter all the info. All the other screens processed smoothly with no issues. When I got the confirmation page on the payment, I was even more shocked that it had went that fast/easy. All told, I was out of there 4-5 mins after the sale started and all the parties in our group had received their individual confirmation emails less than 2 mins later.
I wouldn't say that I did anything special other than the basic....one device, one browser and one tab......really, just dumb luck.

Yeah, my old pc desktop is what got me in 3 years ago. just had opera and chrome open, no refreshes at all and it just popped up on chrome. I check everything so many times and the only mess up was the expiration on the credit card but fixed that after it error. But was still on shock i got em. The only other time i got close was 5 years ago and the website was just glitching like crazy with loading the registration page and not working at all.
And i'm in for Glasto #4! I had a specialized web browser running that acts as a new browser in each tab. I then paired that with a paid proxy service that gave me a unique IP per tab. 100 unique IP browsers going. Nothing, barely even got the busy page to load. Opened up a single tab of regular chrome with no proxy, and got in right away.
It's entirely random. And I kind of love it that way.
3 laptops on 2 browsers and we’re both still on the holding page. My phone won’t even connect at all. Keeps saying the server stopped responding. I’m rapidly losing faith, but trying to say strong!

I got through on Safari randomly (had 3 browsers open plus phone), without refreshing obsessively. Keep going!
At one point we got false hope. It told Jack it was sold out but not me, so he kept refreshing and eventually got through. Once we got to the deposit payment stage it had a red banner saying it was sold out. Then all my holding pages also said sold out and we knew it was done.
Hey guys, don't worry. They're going to sell 100 more tickets in the next coming days. Just to ensure that your faith in ticket karma gets permanently shut down.
Second year in a row that I’ve booked a trip ahead around a festival and been shut out. No anniversary magic for me. Currently looking at an itinerary with a Glastonbury-sized hole and you know, what to do?

Roskilde?
Thought about that, Secret Solstice, or Werchter. Would just have to ask my Airbnb’s to change dates and work my way around some awkward routing being pre-booked. Just not sure how convenient those events would be for families. The wheels have definitely been turning nonstop since we struck out though.

Were filling ours with Barcelona. Different time of year, but we’re still planning on being in Europe for 5 weeks instead of just cutting the week out all together.

Wait for the tours aroubd it to be announced. Pretty likely BST in hyde park will have a show during glastonbury and itll be a mini festival. Just a matter of if you like who is playing.
Emily Eavis interviewed tonight in London regarding the book thats coming out. Confirmed that Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin will not be there next year. And 2 of the 3 headliners are booked with the 3rd in the midst of negotiations
