I can't see Elton doing anything other than headlining. I saw Elton at the start of his farewell tour in 19 (at Montreux) and the production was definitely setup for large stages and really focuses on Elton as the star. The ending of his set is especially set up for him to close out the show.
FWIW - If you are a fan, the farewell tour is definitely worth checking out. Playlist is heavy on his hits from the 70s and he puts on a great show. I've seen Elton 3 times now (including his Bonnaroo set) and Montreux was probably my favorite of the three.
Its seems that 2 out of 3 headliners are coming back. Michael Eavis interviewed on bbc radio and talked about he hoped to get back on stage next year and be invited to sing with either McCartney, Taylor or Diana Ross. Not forced on the response either. Kind of hesitates from “i probably will” to “I do hope so”.
Seems that its becoming more of a reality that Kendrick is truly not coming back and Billie Eilish is the replacement. I know its NME but it just sums up whats gone on in the past week.
I would have liked to see Kendrick again but I've seen him twice and never seen Eilish, so I can live with that replacement. QOSA are also a good get for me but I'm assuming headlining the Other on the same night means that we'll have to choose. I'll probably take Billie in that match up but I might see if I can catch her on her current tour and then see QOSA at Glasto.
Still hoping for Macca and Swift on the other nights. Seems like there is a lot of rumors of other headliners...so maybe not. I'm sure whoever they get will be great but Macca at Glasto would be special.
blah blah blah Foos announced a couple of UK stadium shows at the end of next June.
The support acts are the key thing. Theyll be there. Foos will be a surprise set if they even show up. At least better than Mumford.

Its just still odd that they might not be able to keep Taylor when she was going to make it a point to have the performance special. if Billie does end up on Friday it will be a run of the mill set and nothing more anyway, but the name is what makes it a thing. Crazy how Dua Lipa might just stay in the same place and couldve just been a no brainer for Glasto to have instead of Kendrick. It needs to be next month already cause surely after the Abbey extravaganza theyll start with an artist announcement soon after.
Bergenfest, which takes place the week before Glastonbury, announced a couple more acts, including Grace Jones and Michael Kiwanuka; they previously announced Robyn and Biffy Clyro. Obviously would love to see Grace and Robyn.
Isle of Wight announced their dates to be a week before Glasto, so unless theyre tagged as exclusive its all fair game. Next few weeks should have a lot more announcements coming for next summer.

Damn fucking right. They were the first act I saw there in 2017 so Im really glad theyre back in the picture again for next year.
You guys also having issues with eFests? A couple weeks back, I started getting browser errors on several of the pages. I can now get back to the main Glasto board (through a different link) but can't get back to the lineup/rumors page. My old link doesn't work and I can't get to to it traversing via the main page.

Yeah I’ve been getting errors too on the main site but I’ve mostly been looking at the forums, which are still working fine.

In actual news, looks like a line up reveal is going to be somewhere around the end of February. the balance payment page changed this morning to reflect that balance payments will be due the first week of March.
