Folks going to this want to set up a group text or discord?
Also, how early do are folks planning to get to the Park for Wet Leg? Efests and the discord server seem to think it'll be really packed. Mostly wondering if I'd have time to catch the first 15min or so of Afrooj Aftab before heading over, or if it'd be good to get there before the end of Orlando Weeks.
I think I've got most of my schedule figured out. I definitely need recs Wednesday and Thursday. Going over the new chart of walking distance between different stages to make sure it's doable.
Edit: Biggest conflict/decision for me rn is Sofia Kourtesis in Silver Hayes vs. Black Midi > Yves Tumor on West Holts. Probably just going to be a day of decision.

Maybe but I’m most likely not going to have international cell service so idk if that would work for me.
Edit: re Wet Leg I have no idea but they’re obviously more popular in the UK than here. I still want to see most/all of the Kae Tempest music set but that might be stupid and/or I may just go to their spoken word set on Thursday anyway since the last album of theirs was just so so.
I plan on heading over to see Wet Leg from Ziggy Marley. I would think I should get there at or slightly before it starts. Probably means that I'm somewhere at the back but that doesn't bother me.
The Williams Green lineup is one of my favorites. Several good alt acts in that lineup.

Wet Leg is def gonna be slammed, but I think it might take a minute because everyone will go see Libertines and then head over to The Park and wait it out. I dont think it wouldve been that bad this early if they had swapped em with Confidence Man time wise. But im ok with it and will take a back to back dance party.
On Weds I personally would walk around the site, do some shopping and take it all in. there is hardly any music, so just meet people and hang out. In 2019 NYC Downlow was open and if you knew you knew and got in with no issue so that might be something to check out for the evening. It wouldnt surprise me if they did that again since they have been gone for so long.
Thursday since theres music you could jut float around and see whats what. Doesnt hurt to just bounce around and see what sounds good and such. Obviously some decent names on thursday so if you wanna dance go see Sasha in the glade for starters. The Crows Nest up in The Park area releases their lineup every morning and they have some great acts on there so thatll be something to keep an eye out for. The TBA's in Williams Green will surely be somebody so that might also be something else to keep tabs on. You could just go see a movie at Pilton Palais? Or go into the Southeast corner and check out IIcon and what else Block 9 has to offer. Unless you have a late night planned another one of the days.
All right I'll try. Used he new walking guides floating around efests.
Wednesday:"Just vibes, bro."
Just going to feel it out. No idea what time my Coach will get in, but I imagine with everyone international having to go to the box office it'll be late afternoon/early evening. Just going to walk around and get my bearings.
Thursday: Four Tet @funkingham Palace
Same thing, going to get my bearings and figure out where everything is/best ways to get around. Will probably get to Funkingham Palace a few hours early since apparently the queue can get long, and I imagine it'll be a popular set on Thursday.
Friday: Ziggy Marley > Wet Leg > Inhaler > Girl in Red > Yard Act > Mannequin Pussy > Bonobo > end of Khruangbin > Four Tet > Carl Cox b2b Chase and Status.
Works out pretty well for me. I think this could also pretty easily end up Girl in Red > Sigrid > Phoebe before Bonobo, especially if I end up camped pretty close to JP.
Saturday: Four Tet: Morningside/Kikagaku Moyo > Holly Humberstone > Sofia Kourtesis > Yves Tumor > Big Thief > 1/2 Avalanches > Caribou > end of Mitski > 1/2 Jessie Ware > Four Tet > Calvin Harris
Yeah this sucks lol. Sofia Kourtesis sandwiched between the run of Black Midi > Yves tumor presents some problems. I imagine I'll just end up skipping Midi entirely, sadly, and get a solid run in to catch the end of Yves. I could also see myself doing Nilufer Yanya > 1/2 Olivia > Avalanches instead of Big Thief. Probably a day of decision on that one.
Sunday: Lianne La Havas > Nubya Garcia > Caroline Polacheck > Turnstile > Lorde > Kendrick > hop on a 3am coach to LHR
Worked out pretty well for me! Will probably leave Turnstile 1/2 way through to get a decent spot for Lorde before trying to squeeze into the pit for Kendrick.
I'm sure this will end up changing a lot, and it's probably not as doable as I think it is even after using the walking guide. Camping wise, going to try for Lower Mead, if that's full by the time I get there, I read somewhere the little area by the lockups between John Peele and Family camping is open to anyone, so I'll probably set up there. Getting really excited!
Can someone link me to the walking guide? (Unless it’s the timetable, which I already have)
It's the timetable but someone updated it w/ more landmarks and different walking speeds/conditions. Might be a bit overkill but it's really helpful for planning. Charts are on page 4:
Would people be interested if I started a Inforoo Glasto Slack/Discord/text chat? How many of us are there?
Ozzy floated this idea around a couple of days ago, I think there's like 5-6 of us total? I'm interested but I don't anticipate getting international cell data coverage so I'm not going to have internet access at all during the festival so I think it'd be kind of pointless for me.

Unless all the tba's get confirmed before you get out there youll miss out on all of that. Just saying. Or you get a cheapie dumb phone and get sms twitter updates so you at least got that covered. I have AT&T for example and its $10 for 24 hours to have your own phone plan available to you internationally. Its an option at least.
and the walking guide chart is what you were talking about, if you got it, you got it.
Midi over Yves, it's a close call but the "hometown factor" will probably feel real
Kae over Wet Leg, wet leg will be in the states far more often and seems like they'll be a festival mainstay for time to come, Kae feels way rather/more unique

Maybe, but if one of the secret sets turns out to be the 1975 then I’m already uninterested in one of the big ones. Since everyone in the Primavera thread seemed to have a good experience with overseas cell phone use I’ll consider it but I’m also on a family plan so that might change things.
Fair enough. The EE festival app is going live and its pretty useful if you did want to plan your day and such. It has an offline mode. Android avail, ios coming.
I'd be down for a discord or something. I'm doing the same thing as supЯefan w/ATT. Also down to schedule a meet up or at a show or bar ahead of time.
Yeahhhh, I get into London early on Tuesday and was planning on taking the train from Heathrow. No longer, lol. I guess I'll just try and figure out the closest bus to where I'm going. Hoping the tube is up in time on Wednesday for me to get to the O2.
I'm good with some type of chat approach. I have Verizon and will extend my plan for international coverage for the 2 weeks that I am going to be in Europe.
I am getting into London Sunday via the train from Paris......for London O2 coach riders, how early do you plan on arriving at the O2? I have a 7:00 AM bus and just trying to gauge how much time to leave to sort things out at the O2 pickup location.
after much hemming and hawing I decided I'm probably going to just do the international cell service thing. I'm sure some of you all have experience with this but how much data would, say, a Discord chat or WhatsApp server eat up?

Not very much. Streaming video/audio/resource heavy web browsing is what eats up your data. If you have an iPhone (i'm sure Android has this too) you can enable/disable cellular data on a per-app basis. Just turn it off for any app you don't need to conserve data.

Ask in the Primavera thread since a bunch of people are over there right now and are using it.
I don't want to post the invite link publicly. I'm going to DM those of you who I believe are going, but DM me if you don't get the link and would like to join.
I believe the Glasto attendee list is: ameeps mash OzzyOzwald shuck suprefan (I think?)
I'm glad I decided to use the walking guide to outline my schedule as well, since it helped me realize what crazy things I had in mind are possible and also impossible, and by that I mostly mean I need to drastically rearrange my Thursday since Sherelle/Pigs x7/India Jordan would involve a solid hour and a half of walking between things and that it will be essentially impossible to see Avalon Emerson and Shygirl. Oh well.

Did you never look at the map? That mightve just been enough to make you realize some things were gonna be tough. I saw an updated chart that had diff speeds on it vs the old standard one.

I did! Quite a bit! I just didn’t think it would be *that* slow from Silver Hayes to Shangri La for some reason. I thought it’d be 20-25 minutes.

A couple time changes for West Holts on Saturday. Because of that, might end up looking like 45min/Black Midi > 45min/Sofia Kourtesis > 30 min Yves Tumor.
Walking chart makes that seem doable if I'm moving it between stages. Glad to have Wednesday and Thursday to figure out distances and walking times.
