The issue that I had with the walking chart, when I sued it back in 2019, is they don't really account for the crowds. West Holts to Pyramid before Kylie took like 30mins just due to how dense the crowd was.
Did you never look at the map? That mightve just been enough to make you realize some things were gonna be tough. I saw an updated chart that had diff speeds on it vs the old standard one.
I did! Quite a bit! I just didn’t think it would be *that* slow from Silver Hayes to Shangri La for some reason. I thought it’d be 20-25 minutes.
Its deceiving sometimes. Makes me feel really grateful that you can see more acts at coachella cause theres 3 stages literally within spitting distance of each other. And you arent fsctoring in taking in the randomness a little, thats the hardest thing. Cause you could be walking by a random stage and something cool is on and you go there.

Theres an updated one. Ill find it. The worst crush i encountered was after katy perry in 2017. Leaving pyramid to back to the park or wh and it was ridiculous.
has anyone seen Kikagaku Moyo on this tour? I know I *should* see them but I've been trying but I'm just really not able to get into their music and I'm thinking of splitting the Four Tet Morningside set/Les Amazones d'Afrique instead.

as a guy who doesn't get the joke, does Glastonbury not do merch, or do Europeans not give enough of a shit to cause lines?
Theres gonna be 3 shirts. All will have a variation of the lineup art and be weird sizing. Theyll have a canvas bag, tea towel and a couple other random things along with minimal band merch. Needless to say they dont care to want to make money in that area as they likely could.
For those of you that are going (hopefully you're already at the farm) have the best weekend ever! Be sure to explore every corner of the grounds, be willing to break off from your planned itinerary, and slap anyone peeing on the ground/in the creek upside the head!

Well, dropped two cards yesterday, fairly certain I know where so going to run by the stall and lost and found today. No activity on them so hoping they were just turned in.
Otherwise, just an incredible day yesterday. Ended up in the rail nearly dead center for the Four Tet live set. Absolutely nuts. Best crowds/atmosphere for shows I've ever been a part of.
Ok I got my phone back! But my data is inexplicably not working (I’m using WiFi at the EE booth) so not much I can do about that now. But I’m having a good time!
Sunday funday. Been a good 4 days overall. McCartney last night was awesome and everyone who left after hour one is a dumbass. Luckily not too busy today with clashes so much easier to navigate things and get to set within good time.
And the weather held up for 95% of the time! Apart from the freezing wind the rain wasnt much to fuss about.
Its perfectly fine to have made the choice you did cause you planned that. Not like anyone who thought he was just gonna do 30 beatles songs in a row and call it a night.
Ok I might do a more detailed write up later but for now I’m on a coach heading back to London and I have a feeling I’m going to pass out soon. My feet are sore and blistered (my phone says I walked at least 15 miles a day for the past 4 days which sounds about right), my knees hurt, I look like shit, but my god what an experience that was. You think you can anticipate what it’ll be like, but the level of spectacle and stimulation was still awe inspiring. I hit up more or less every major area at the festival and I still feel like I only scratched half of it.
Top 5 - Confidence Man, TLC, Skunk Anansie, Jessie Ware, Lorde shuck’s dad’s top 3 - The Jesus and Mary Chain, Jessie Ware, Pet Shop Boys (with a noted HM for Diana Ross)
