Hey guys just wanted to say I am sorry I fell off the face of the earth at the end. I got a second job and on top of that I am organizing, hosting, and catering an event at the end of October pretty much by myself. Just been a crazy few weeks. I’ll probably pop back in and go back through and see how the voting went when the dust settles. I had a blast throughout the entire experience. Inforoo will always be my fav internet community and I love you guys. Hope all is well.
For the next draft, idk which kind it's going to be but I propose that the voting rounds get shortened. We're in round 4 now and I feel like the intrest dropped drastically after round 1. It's like the only ones still voting are the ones that actually participated in this.

The only rule I think should be changed is the one that lets someone drafting Damon Albarn get Albarn, Blur, Gorillaz, and the Good, Bad, and the Queen...I don't think that makes sense.

I vote more structure, more rules, less time on the clock
Not “more rules” but more clarity on the already existing ones. The next draft is gonna be a normal one (I believe) and most of the disagreements on that last one were kinda dumb and baseless.

^ still mad
Haha, not mad, I don't think it makes sense that I got Thom Yorke when I drafted Radiohead, either.
We should have a draft of bands that have played Bonnaroo. That makes it really simple who you can and can not pick.
I did mention an idea of having an equal number of participants as years of a festival and then drafting from that pool of acts, specifying which year/set of that act that you're taking.

You could even open it up a bit and say acts who have played Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, ACL (the "big four"). Or throw jazzfest in there as well. Whatever it is, it's a set listing of acts.
And as such different iterations of the same act would be individually draftable. So one person could draft NY&CH, another NY&POTR.
And it would be by how the acts were billed, so I can't draft "Phish and Bruce Springsteen" just because they played a few songs together.

I really like where this is going, but I think if you open it up to the Big 4 we could end up with a situation where 8 people have Radiohead since they have probably played each fest 2 times.

The way I see it, once an act gets drafted, they aren't draftable by anyone else. So one person can't draft Bonnaroo Radiohead and another person Coachella Radiohead. It's just Radiohead one time then it's done.

This is gonna shock yall, but I like my idea the best and think simply limiting to a pool of artists detached from their specific performances is kinda lame and allows for less clever stuff. Allowing for drafting Radiohead '12 and Radiohead '06 from Roo, etc would be a niche thing and I think it works that way. Having a draft limited to a pool otherwise doesn't sound as interesting to me.

I don't really like the exclusivity, the Gorillaz/blur thing doesn't make a lot of sense especially since it's different shows. I mean artists sometimes do different festivals on the same weekend so like I dont see why someone couldnt have Gorillaz and another have Blur

Blur won’t be eligible this draft anyway.
Doesn't really matter. There are plenty of acts this applies to.

don't you think this would result in a lot of samey-ness across lineups though? multiple lineups with radiohead, Kanye, Kendrick, Phish, etc?

Booked show (a single show, TV, charity, birthday party, political thing, award show, mitzvahs, but Skype doesnt count, looking at you Doom) last year, this year, next year.
