Well shit. This is just garbage. I've gone every year since 2013 and was planning on 2019 pretty much being my last full Firefly and going out with a bang, but god damn this is just disappointing.

I didn't like last year's lineup but I still think it's overwhelmingly better than this. I'd rather see all four headliners from last year over every one of this year's.
Edit- Come to think of it, if you ranked every headliner that has ever played Firefly individually I think this year's three would be the three worst.
I honestly think this will be the trend of all festivals. Trying to keep up with the trends, which are extremely short lived because they're terrible. When this was a predominantly indie rock fest it was incredibly successful, attendance was between 70,000-90,000 between 2013 and 2016. When will fest organizers learn, older people have the money. Also, how has Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs and Father John Misty never played this festival? Vile and TWoD are both from Philly, they don't even need to be touring. A little more rock would have gone a long way for this lineup.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

Indeed, what 20 year old has $700 to spend on VIP to see Post Malone?
Also side note- Father John Misty is from Rockville, MD too

If you were them, would you want to play it?
For sure, back in 2013-2016. And even now legit indie bands like VW and Lykke Li are playing, but they're pretty sparse anymore.

And it's actually a god dam shame that TLC is playing.. why would the booking agent do that? Every single act is meant to appeal to teenagers, who's going to attend that show? I can only imagine how sad that performance will be.

VIP is going to be half a dozen kids that snuck in, and 15 people in the 30/40's passed out in the shade at 7 PM from drinking all day because there was nothing to watch.

I’ve been stalking this forum for a while but never posted. Kinda saying “hey” on the way out I guess. This would be my 6th Firefly in a row. For me, it’s like why pay to see artists who are already touring all the time anyway. It’s likely that if you go to a couple festivals a year, you probably would have seen a lot of this lineup already. Heck, I even saw Post Malone and Travis Scott last year Osheaga. If I had chosen to go to Gov Ball, I could have seen them both there too. They’re gonna have a hard time selling those VIP and glamping packages. One day passes will probably move well. It’s sad. I’ve been to a fair few festivals at this point and this one was kinda special.

At least I won't have to wait in line to use the A/C bathrooms this year.
