Honestly Swedish House Mafia seems like a huge opportunity for Firefly. They're going to want to do a 2-3 night run at MSG which will eliminate them from Gov Ball. This is the type of act where being in Delaware with no radius clauses works to their advantage.
I'm not a fan, but it's right up this fans demo. If AEG wants to put their stamp the 'new' Firefly in their first full year of the takeover, go this route.

Where would they get billed? Has to be HL here right? Does enough of the younger demo know who they are?

Maybe something like this?
Rihanna • Florence + The Machine • Travis Scott • Swedish House Mafia

Firefly has never shared headliners with RW though so it’s pretty much safe to assume they are out. TOP is already out with Dates during Firefly weekend

Nah Albarn is doing The Good, The Bad, and The Queen again next year
Pop Star - rock band (likely recycled) - Travis Scott - ?
Seems pretty likely regardless
Im lower on the likelihood of Travis at this fest. I think that you cant book both Post Malone and Travis Scott if you are firefly, and the Firefly demographic seems more like the Post Malone type

Blur probably won’t play a US fest ever again. The only fests I could see booking them ( Pano, Sasquatch, OSL) either don’t exist or have changed directions.

They appeal to the same crowd though...
overall they do but there are some subtle differences.
People said they were inevitable last year. I don't think they'll do it.
The one year they used their main rock headliner spot on a questionable/debated headliner (21P), they had their worst year. I think they learned their lesson and will keep going with safe, mainstay rock headliners.

To be honest it seemed like 21p was the most crowded headliner that year, definitely more crowded than Muse, though they were Sunday night so a lot of people usually leave by then.
Either way though, Imagine Dragons is a surefire way to not get me to comeback for the first time since 2013. A big solution to shitty headliners would be if they can finally have counter production during the headliners this year.

happy to see foals active again, I really like them, would love them at firefly, but it seems likely they'd stay in europe in june, I'd imagine they'll play glasto right?
I also think we're overhyping the effect the AEG/GV ownership will have on the lineup.
