lol nevermind. brought up to one of my buddies that i was going to am EDM fest tomorrow and her eyes instantly got super wide and she was like, “IM GOING IM GOING, MOM, WERE GOING WITH ANDREW TOMORROW NIGHT!” so now me her and her boyfriend are going.
This seems like an error but there's two ticket options for Fontaines D.C. tickets in San Antonio on the site. There's a Day of Show option for $5 with fees and a $25 Advance Sale with fees. I would jump on this before anyone notices

Hi y'all, v important - I'd love to attend a taping of Austin City Limits one day. Considering presale tix for The Smile at the Moody Theater tomorrow morning but it doesn't appear that's an actual taping. Since I'd be traveling from California (and I just saw The Smile in December) my hunch is that I should probably hold out for an actual taping...thoughts??

Yep. That isn't a taping. Planning a trip around a taping could be a little risky since they don't sell tickets to the general public. The only ways to get tickets to tapings unless you donate a bunch of money to austin PBS are: 1. Get a ticket from someone(or entity) that donates a bunch of money to PBS. 2. Win the ticket lottery they do for each taping 3. Wait in the standby line
I've had lots of luck with the standby line but how early you have to get in line definitely can vary quite a bit depending on the popularity of the act. If you are interested in attending a taping following their social media accounts is a good place to start to keep track of when they announce new tapings.

Cool, thanks. I'm sure the Moody is a great venue to see a show at regardless but I'd probably rather travel to Austin for ACL (the festival) or a proper taping if that was ever possible.
Texas! We have Spoon coming up Memorial Day Weekend @ Whitewater Amphitheater and just got my tickets to Houston and San Antonio Polyphia shows in November. We got the mid-level meet and greet for Houston. Probably will stay in town that night with my two oldest, so we'll get us some good food in Houston that afternoon. If anyone hits any of those 3 shows, let me know and I'll see you there.

I had been waiting for a proper Spoon Houston show for the longest and they finally announced one at Karbach on April 15th, but unfortunately right when I'm out of town would have been a cool place to see them too, I saw a Blue Oyster Cult/The Sword show there a few years back that was really fun and felt nice and intimate
