Thursday: The Strokes Friday: Tame Impala Saturday: Leaving early for Kacey Musgraves aftershow, but I'd see Madeon if I was at the fest Sunday: Flume
No need to leave early for Kacey. She won't hit the stage until midnight or so.
Eh, if the doors open at 9pm I don't wanna risk staying the full time. After Lil Wayne the only other person I cared about was Madeon anyway. I assumed she'd come on at 11pm since the opener is just a DJ, I figured they'd just DJ until 11pm. Maybe they won't start DJing until 11pm I guess?
IDLES > Maggie Rogers > Chevelle > Death Cab > Tame Impala/Gambino. Thinking of doing the first half of Tame and the end of Gambino but we'll see. That's a long stretch at the end of the night to go from the North main to the South main.

It's possible, but the aftershows are designed to cater to those who were at the fest. The south headliner regularly goes well past ten, so an 11pm start for Kacey wouldn't really give enough time for travel.

By the way Metro lists show time as 11, so that's gonna be when the opener comes on. Kacey won't take the stage until at least midnight.

Can be hard to get a spot at the Metro for folks that arent all that tall. I left Jack White half-way through for Vampire Weekend's after show last year and only got a decent spot. If I was 3 inches shorter (Im 6'2) it would have been hard to see

I’ve heard the same thing. I’m leaving after Tenacious D just to make sure. Luckily the Saturday headliners aren’t anything I’d be heartbroken to miss.
Was trying to buy a Rufus Du Sol ticket for tomorrow but the guy selling it was dicking me around and I ended up not being able to get it. Bought a ticket to see Nilufer Yanya instead for $15, anyone else here going to that one?
They just threw all the unsold tickets on their own secondary market site. You can buy 4 days there for the exact same price as before.
They also suck for setting a floor for resale at the site. My daughter has a GA+ she paid $750 for but can't go now. They capped the minimum so that you couldn't undersell the retail value they established was "worth." Or in other words, they prevent you from dumping a ticket for cause so that it doesn't affect the resellers. $560 (that's like 20% fees for them included) was the lowest you could go. She spent the morning alternately fighting Front Gate Tickets and Ticketmaster for some type of credit. But there was no solution except if you can find a private sale, they're willing to change the name on the tickets at will call. Suck thing is it's tomorrow, so there's really nothing she can do except have her attorney (uncle) send a letter letting them know that regardless of the all sales final clause, an artificial ticket floor (even if that's stated somewhere in the fine print) is anti-business and will cost them way more to defend than just giving her some type of credit back for other festivals under Live Nation that are ticketed by Front Gate.
If anyone wants a GA+ for a value buy, hit me up with a reasonable offer because we'd have to do it today if they don't sell at the $560 price.
Yeah. They won't do anything about it either. She's been trying to offload it on the official site for several weeks always keeping near the lowest price. But when she tried to go all in on the 40% discount (sell for $450 and take the $350 loss), it just popped up that the powers that be have deemed that pricing to be too low and invalid.
I've always hated live nation and ticketmaster, but between artificial price controls, flipping tickets to the secondary market to generate side fees and never missing a fee they can fuck someone out of, I hate them more.
She could have I guess if she'd paid it off early. What happened was her and her former bf got them on the layaway plan. So she paid it off over time - last payment was a couple weeks ago - and then listed it below what she paid because she knew she couldn't go. It's apparently a will call wristband because of when she got the ticket and when she started the payment plan. That was the one place they acquiesced on their rules telling her if she could work a private sale, they'd be willing to help her out by changing the name. She'd been progressively lowering the price (staying near the cheapest) until she hit their floor on Tuesday. Since the festival starts tomorrow (she's got the 4 day ticket), she's out of time.

try ebay to list it. you can do local pickup and more people are looking on there. i dont know exactly how the pickup/will call would work in your situation but I have bought festival tickets off of ebay shortly before the fest before and there are buyers on that site looking
The webcast schedule is outstanding for the festival. No reason to pay money for a ticket when nearly all the top acts are streaming this weekend.
I agree. Fuck in person experiences, just watch everything through your laptop with headphones in! Wish I could hang out with my friends at virtual bars instead of seeing them in person too :/

I’m actually really bummed out that I’ve traveled all this way to watch my favorite band perform live with my best friends when I could’ve watched them alone in my room on my Xbox!! We’re such idiots!!

I don’t consider it outstanding, but there’s a lot of good shit scattered around the weekend - maybe Friday has the most shit for me. There’s also a lot of shit in my opinion. Daughters GA+ sold so no harm no foul, and only a loss of 250. She got lucky there.
