Hey everyone, my internship isn’t covering lodging for this and I need a place to crash that’s relatively close to Grant Park. I would be fine to crash on a couch and pay you a little. I’ll honestly only be sleeping there because of how long of the days I’ll be having. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested. I’ll be there from the 30th to the 5th
I'm not really surprised there aren't larger acts playing metro. Why would they want headliners playing aftershows if they can't even sell out their days of the festival?
Well, only nonheadliners played Metro aftershows in 2012, 2013, and 2014; sure it’s been a while since there hasn’t been a headliner at Metro but it could also just be a year where it doesn’t happen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When do the acts typically come on? Most say that the doors open at 9 or 10. So if that's the case, when would I expect to see the "headliner" play?
Are you talking about after shows? If the bill says doors at 10, that means the opener will probably come on by 11 at the latest, and then the headliner would play after they're done like any normal show.
yeah I wasn't sure what time shows go until in Chi. In NYC for example, shows go until 3-4am some nights. I figured there was a chance that this didn't follow "normal" guidelines since it's an aftershow.
Looks like people here aren't into Hozier, but he is playing pretty big venues on his tour. His Philly show has capacity of 25K...I doubt I will attend this show, but I dont think this is a "bad" or "boring" show for the majority of people...
He's already got two shows announced at the Chicago Theater in November, and just played the Riv (2500 cap club) last September. This just isn't a very special, "special" after show.

Yo Chicago peeps, what’s a good source for even listings? Might be in town Aug 24 for a bachelor party, trying to see if there’s anything my friends might be in to. Is Do312 the best option?

Which act are you planning on seeing to close out each day? I am interested to see what people here have to say about it as I debate with my crew on who to see each day...
For me it's: Thurs: Chainsmokers Fri: Alesso Sat: Madeon Sun: Flume
I am obviously going to see the electronic acts...
