I don't know if i should be surprised that Chemical Brothers are a headliner, but i am. I've never listened, but they aren't really big enough to headline, are they?! I felt like they were a large theater-sized group, not really arena-level. Maybe i'm way off.
Friday I'm only interested in Flume, St Paul, and Francis and the Lights, which isn't enough so I'm out on that. Saturday I like a lot in the middle (Janelle, Rufus, Beach House, Young the Giant, Sofi Tukker, Griz) but don't give a shit about the top 3. I'd lean toward a single-day Sunday pass, but the undercard on that day is garbage and i only care about Tame, Childish, Kaytra, and Metric. I really thought this lineup would deliver but i think i'm going to pass now. The more I look at the lineup, the more I dislike it. Oh well.

everything that immediately catches my eye, bolds are cant miss. gonna buy this ticket as soon as i can, anyone expect a quick sellout?
Strictly from a music perspective what are the highlights on this lineup that's not at Lolla? Aside from the Chemical Brothers of course.
Historically speaking, the conflicts are usually less painful. So, even though they always share a lot, you don't have to make as many terrible decisions at Osh.

They still command large crowds in Europe, so they are headliner-worthy in the sense that they can entertain a big mass of people. However, I doubt their presence alone will sell many tickets for that day.

I dunno. They're "old", but they're "EDM", so the kids will appreciate it more than the average guitar-led legacy act.

Fantastic booking...but won't translate to the younger EDM crowd, no wubs or drops.

Oh, they'll definitely appreciate it, but I'm not just sure whether ticketbuyers will specifically go for the Chem Bros or whether they just want to spend a Saturday at a music fest.

Now this is in England, but gives you the idea of the massive production they have

Thanks! This looks really cool and I certainly don't hate the music... I guess I just see them fitting in better in that Justice/Odesza spot (which it looks like Flume has this year.)
Guilty as charged... I'm not saying i'm right, just that it's what my impression was of each band's popularity. Apparently I'm wrong, which feels like maybe it's a regional thing. I dont know.

You're not really wrong though, they do play large theaters and small auditoriums in North America. I don't think they've played in Canada since 2002 though, so that's pretty cool.
