We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

As far as how quiet I was, I feel like I can't win there. I've been tossed in runoffs on Day 1 without fail for supposedly posting fluff or making unconventional moves, the latter of which, stacking a fifth person into the runoff, has been done by others virtually without comment and yet got me killed.
I was in a runoff and I didn't want to give anyone a reason to keep me in by opening my big mouth. I'm a strong advocate that the best thing you can do on Day 1 is survive and make observations. You're no good to the Town dead.

Just getting a change to read over everything. Wanted to get new tally and one at the top of the new page.
Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about the Jaz whack. IF he was inspector I don't think it was with Pablo's name. I don't recall Jaz being a huge risk taker when he's inspector. Granted, I don't remember him being inspector many times either. Of course that doesn't prove Pablo is innocent I just think the Jaz whack is a little too on the nose for that.
Can you give some reasoning why? Does this have something to do with LLL's reasoning about ZIG, Maddog, and Potent based on the whack? If so, that would seem to me like we've got two of three people with votes because of a possible connection to ZIG, but not ZIG. Just awkward to me.
I'm gonna try and do another read and mainly sort out what the composition of the runoffs were when Jaz made those posts.

You know, after starting with a read of only kanye's posts, it wasn't fair to call him the lowest-quality poster in the game. Like, he said some silly shit, but he actually was trying to reason stuff out and make out what was going on. Some people didn't contribute hardly anything of substance all Day 1.
Not a lot that reads super Inspector-y to me, though.

Ok, so I wanted to figure out if any of Jaz's quotes might have been misleading outside of context. I don't really feel that any were.
As far as low quality of posts, I talked some shit on Kanye earlier, but I think LD, Thor, and Maddog are probably the "leaders" there, in that order. I don't get where they're coming from, for the most part. LD's explanations for his votes have been either non-existent or leave something to be desired. Maddog less so than the other two because he had the vote switch, which risked that he would draw some heat. Thor did go from Maddog to ZIG, but only after ZIG switched to me and Maddog fell out of the runoff. On Thor and Maddog, though, they also both missed that the ideal move, based on the logic that Thor advanced, was for Kanye to switch from ZIG to me to give more players revotes. Sloppy play and reasoning, at the least.
LLL's reasoning has been bothersome for me, and that's well-documented by now. Thing is, whether she is Town, or Mafia, or Mafia with Kanye specifically, either way, it doesn't really make sense. So it's just overall bizarre and I can't totally wrap my head around it. I don't think it provides a whole lot of evidence either way. Seems weird to state definitively that you're going to vote for ZIG, then say you're thinking, then vote ZIG after-all around twelve hours later, explicitly stating you're doing so so that conversation can start. But Townies do weird, inexplicable shit all the time. It's not really proof of anything, as much as I want things to make sense to me and everyone to follow the same logic, just like the Maddog/Thor example from before.
I think it’s pretty typical that mafia split votes 2-1 on a final runoff. Not always, but typical.
That means at least 1 mafia should have been on ZIG. Two are dead (Kanye and Jaz). I’m town. And LLL, if she was mafia, I’d expect to kill the more experienced player, ZIG. That leaves LD. Bada bing.
Since I have only played those limited number of games with him, and you have played more, do you think it is because his playing style pisses people off, or do they find it to be such a distraction to the game that it is detrimental to the town? I was pretty surprised to see players saying what they have said so far about him being in a run-off, like that it is a wash between a new player and himself. Personally I think I remember a few rough interactions with him my first game or two coming back, but had no issues with him thereafter. I sometimes tend to put a rosy glow to things, though, so maybe I should go back and read some of the games again.
I think Zig is detrimental to the town, though that's basically in every game I play. If he's not Mafia, he's their useful tool in creating enough chaos for Mafia to hide behind.
This is also one of the most disingenuous posts this game. ZIG is actually good at mafia, and painting him like a Viking or KDogg type doesn’t really comport with reality IMO.
ZIG is in the runoff because he decided he gets to be the arbiter of how many people we have in the runoff and who gets bumped to 3. And probably because, if he’s town, a mafia wants him dead.
Kanye is in the runoff as a newb, being voted in by the three most experienced players in this game, SFA, LLL, and LD.
I also don’t like that ZIG becomes a free vote if the runoff advances to Kanye/ZIG.
Not that I’ve got something against Pablo, but I think someone should move from Kanye to Pablo to free up more votes for the next runoff. (As is, we already know where ZIG would vote, so it’s a waste for one player who’d be left to vote).
maybe I'm just missing something in your explanation, but, it's like that no matter who comes off at this point?
Kanye - 4 (Pablo, LD, LLL, SFA)
ZIG - 4 (Maddog, Potent, Thor, Kanye)
Pablo - 3(Danbob, Jaz, ZIG)
outside of pablo moving onto himself, we'd still end up with pablo revoting if LD, LLL, SFA move, similarly if someone were to move off of zig.
- "maybe I'm just missing something" - wasn't trying to push anything, just point out Thor's reasoning here was wrong - i don't really see how this is not helping discussion
I’m going to get to this today. But my gut instinct is misdirection on the whack. ZIG is polarizing and an easy target.
That certainly could be the case, but personally I've never been in a Mafia bunch who used their first whack to solely misdirect. But we have discussed that ad nauseam as a group before. No one has voted for ZIG yet, however, so while the whack could point his direction (as well as a number of other players' way), it seems at this point most of us are aware that he is an easy target so it seems town is being cautious in that regard. I'm surprised at this point that Mafia would continue to use that trick, since everyone points it out so much.
Zig being unhelpful is being pushed pretty hard this game.
My names coming out of too many mouths for this early and not having any clue who's who at this point.
Maddog > > LLL
I mean, the player who Mafia apparently thought may be the Inspector voted against you AND directly named you as someone he would keep an eye on at this point. So you are a pretty good choice given our limited information. And since he also named myself, I think your vote is a fair vote as well.

Does anyone actually think Kanye could've been mafia?
There’s definitely more evidence than usually this game that Kanye could have been mafia and not town. I think we should know more so by the end of Day 2. Usually by then, especially if we have an inspector reveal, we have a good feeling if the person was mafia or town and can strategize accordingly. We do have a tendency to vote of townies Day 1 but we clearly don’t have enough evidence yet either way and I don’t think we should limit ourselves yet. I’ll save the tunnel vision for a little later.

you know he voted with me and then I changed my vote right?

I’m leaning that the runoff was town vs town and all the switches were either town being weird or mafia just fucking with us.
Not a hard vote by any means, but I want to get someone who’s going off the radar a little bit a vote. SFA and mad dog to a lesser extent fall under this category as well.
While the whack does implicate Pablo a little, his posts align with what I’m thinking right now.
