Unbeknownst to most but knownst to some the asteroid had broken into pieces and not all of it had hit ground. While in the shelter Jaz received a phone call, stepped outside the shelter and was killed by shrapnel from the second impact. Who was behind the call?
This is literally the third time I've opened this thread, I'm very much not in mafia mood. At a car dealership now but I will read over the thread as soon as I have a chance.
Just catching up. I'm a teeny bit suspicious of our runoff's composition. This is Kanye's first game, and it's always just kinda weird to me when people are in a rush to vote out newcomers. However, whether he is Mafia or town, it's in the Mafia's best interests for him to stay in the game. So I'm inclined to think that there is no more than one Mafia on Kanye. If the votes stayed where they are, he is set to go forward with ZIG, who is an easy target for votes because of his playing style. So I'm also inclined to believe that there is at least one Mafia on him. There's an argument to be made that ZIG's playing style is ultimately unhelpful, so it might make sense to vote him off when you're going into the game with no info, but I can still see Mafia capitalizing on that argument. I don't really have much to say about Pablo as of yet. I know none of this narrows anything down right now, but it might be helpful later in the game when some of the Mafia are outed.
Also I'm a little wary of how quiet pablo is. I know him to be more talkative, and it makes me wonder if he's trying to stay quiet and avoid drawing attention to himself.
I can understand why it may not ring true for you. The social dynamics and demographics of this game (and the board in general) are drastically different than they once were, and I think it is for the worse, personally. I have a lot I could say about this, but it doesn't matter and it isn't going to change anything so I won't.
That being said, Silver Surfer, I would suggest that at this point you come forward with any thoughts you have about the game so that I don't regret my decision to play with old school integrity and end up turning into a hardened keyboard warrior like some of these guys and change my mind.
I'd be quite interested in hearing what you have to say on this if you feel like sharing (publicly or via PM).
Right now it's really a wash on Kanye vs. ZIG, and I'm not quite ready to vote yet. Kanye have you played this game before somewhere else or in a different form?
This one's a bit of a toss-up. At first it seemed to me as if Kanye was being coached, but given that he has indeed played this game before, I don't really have much suspicion of him. I do have ideas about who might or might not be Mafia if he does turn out to be nefarious, but I'm not wont to voice those ideas at the moment.
I also don't have any particular reason to vote for ZIG, though I would like to state for the record that my vote for him has nothing to do with his vote or playing style. I just have more notions on Kanye, and if any are them are right I'd like to see where him being alive takes us. And if they're wrong, then it's a toss-up anyway.
Yeah there's definitely shenanigans here. It's rare that you see vote switches late in the first round unless people have a concrete reason or suspicion, and the reasoning for some of the recent moves have been bullshit. I think it's likely that there's a Mafia between Zig/Kanye, and if that is indeed the case, I think have a partner in at least one of LLL/MadDog/LD/Potent.

Maybe, but he wasn't the only whose posts implicate Pablo, so I think there may be someone else that he mentioned in there.
Not that it narrows it down much, but he specifically mentions ZIG, LLL, LD, Maddog, Kanye and Potent. He voted AGAINST Pablo, SFA, ZIG, Danbob, Maddog, Potent in the last run-off. I would assume something about what he said and how he voted is making Mafia think he was the Inspector.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Reading this post from Jaz during the game, I got the feeling he felt Kanye was inspector. I didn't have the same feeling, personally, but I wonder if that's what Jaz meant. I planned on asking him this today. I think obviously Kanye wasn't inspector, and I am trying to figure out what they saw that made Jaz the whack.

Haha. You are one of a kind. That post was about as far away as I get to being “too long”. And you clearly “didn’t read” because I never said Pablo was “suspicious”; just that some of his posts pointed to Pablo, mainly that Pablo was quiet. I commented earlier in the game that Pablo was quiet as well. And I never said I voted for you because you piss me off, more so because it feels like some sort of connection between you, LLL, and Kanye.
