I kinda think he's dead. This show is unreal with the fake outs though.
True facts. From my watch, it looked like he took at least two shots to the chest, so realistically he should be done. I just can't see them doing it though.
Finally caught up with the show so I was brave enough to venture in here.
Lots of my feelings have been expressed - getting tired of God squad, BJ killing it, young Jesse awesome at being Danny McBride, John Goodman's acting and Eli's backstory are great.
Sometimes Judy is so over the top batshit insane I get a little annoyed. The bathroom scene was definitely one of those moments. I was laughing a lot but it was such bizarre behavior.
I couldn't stop laughing during interlude 2 at the musical number. I remember flipping through channels as a kid and seeing shiz like that on like, TNN (the Nashville network - which eventually became spiketv?) And public access stuff. Bad 90's fashion and campy church shiz. The bass player from Umphreys McGee had a cameo as the bass player in that episode. Thought that was cool.
BJs discussion with Eli about how Judy's pain manifests itself in her actions was actually quite a good little monologue. Helped provide some context for her behavior, and her siblings behavior, beyond just bein' whacky because this is a comedy tv show.
I think we're about to see some growth in our characters.

Agreed on that BJ scene being a low key great scene. At this point, it feels like the big plot for the season is seeing the children step out from the shadow of Eli and stand on their own. I was a little off the Kelvin arc with the God Squad because it seemed to drag out the "Kelvin is closeted" joke that has been going on for a while now. This episode got me back on it in showing some more of Kelvin's motivation in it trying to be a big man and find his place as an adult. That and, as T3ddy F1a1r said, Keef is hilarious. His outfit for his trial was great.
Finally venturing into this thread bc I’m all caught up! Aka have watched all of S1 and the available 7 episodes of S2 over the past month or less. This season so far is like a 6.5/7ish if the first one was an 8, but I’m still enjoying it for sure
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

agree with everyone this season isn't as good as season 1. still loving it. not quite appointment viewing but it's the first thing i watch monday night after work.
i think the vomit thing was just to remind us what kind of show this is after two fairly serious episodes.
Eli: "Kelvin, you and Queef have been such a help."
Baby Billy: "Don't forget.. one squirt of this, Voila! No more covid!"
Baby Billy to Harmon: "I'm open to doing something else. Maybe take your dog for a walk, maybe throw a little baseball."
definitely a wealth of great quotes from that episode. judy's speech on the bus was amazing. i didn't even understand what she was talking about when she said the one about "chewing shrimp tails with ice" but it killed me. maybe i didn't even hear it correctly lol.
macauly was great. he really acted the hell out of that scene, and the punch was a satisfying way to bring that story to a close and give billy a path to redemption.
more than anything i just enjoyed seeing all the siblings coming together and Eli showing appreciation for his children. after two seasons of bickering and fighting it's nice to have a moment of unity. but they nicely balanced that with the siblings' comments about the poor family just to point out they are still pieces of shit, they are just pieces of shit that have shown a little bit of growth.

The first one caught me off guard enough to where I almost rewound it to make sure I heard it right.
I enjoyed that Macaulay Culkin ended up being adult Harmon. Nice random cameo.
With the ending, definitely looks like Eric Andre is going to end up being the mastermind behind the assassination attempts.
"You've done well for yourself. Got you a couch with a bunch of cupholders." has lived in my head since that episode and likely will stay there until my body returns to the earth.
I think I'd agree with the general consensus that S1 was better but wow do I love this show. I think there's been at least one line per episode that had me in tears.
