I'm thinking of combining this with either Vegas or NOLA... Anyone have any tips or suggestions for either?
Depends on what you’re into I’m about 2 hrs away from NOLA and haven been back 2 back to Vegas the past 2 years straight no hate towards my Nola people but personally prefer Vegas a lot more but that’s just me. I’m also probably spoiled in Nola cuz we go all the time.

I’d go to Las Vegas. If it was a couple weeks later and voodoo and Halloween week, I’d say coming here is a easy call.
I’m feeling lazy for only glossing the lineup because I’m in the sand in Panama City beach and it’s like 82, sunny and a nice breeze. Seemed like I’d seen a lot of the acts before that I’d want to see. And TCIC as Inforoo biased or not, I’m getting them both Roo and ACL. I can sometimes get a little extra excited for jazzier projects because of my roots

I feel like she's already way bigger. Some of her album cuts are already approaching/surpassing Lorde singles in terms of listeners. #5 most listened to artist in the entire world right now on Spotify. The crowd for her at Coachella was off the charts and may have honestly been bigger than all three headliners (was definitely bigger than Tame and Gambino).

Yeah nah. Royals was massive like Pablo said and Glory and Gore was on all kinds of commercials. I remember Team being on the radio for a long time as well. Is Billie Eilish on top 40 radio? I really don't know.

At the moment, Billie might be bigger. "Melodrama" was more of a critical success than a commercial one, and Lorde's arena tour sold poorly (though it was the high price that kept me away personally). But Lorde was a sensation who was everywhere in 2013-2014.
The real question is who has the more bloodthirsty fans who pulverize one another at their shows - Billie or Lana Del Rey.

She might get there, but what proves that she is definitely bigger now, other than she is currently more relevant given that she released an album recently? You guys seem pretty sure.

Anybody ignoring Billie's numbers right now is crazy. It happened so quick that I get it if you missed it, but she is not competing with the Lordes and Lanas right now re: sales and stats. She's competing with the Aris and Taylors.
- She moved 313,000 equivalent units in her first week. Since 2014 when Billboard made the shift to this metric, only three other women have passed 300K first week. Taylor, Beyonce, Adele. For comparison Lorde sold 109K TOTAL of Melodrama in the US. Lust for Life (Lana's last release) opened to 107K.
- As I mentioned, the #5th most listened to artist in the entire world on Spotify with 45M+ individual listeners.
We can make the comparison to Lorde's breakout heat, sure, but she is heads and tails above where Lorde was with Melodrama and it's not even close.

The release of Pure Heroine wasn't as strong, but it has to date sold 1.7 million+ AEUs in the US and 300k+ in the UK, while Eilish, whose album was pre-added on Apple Music a record 800k times, has, according to Wikipedia, notched 100k+ AEUs in the UK (looking for the US number).
So, yeah, it's true that she is huge right now and more listened to than Lorde was for Melodrama, maybe approaching where she was for Pure Heroine in terms of units, but still probably less famous.

I think recency bias is coming into play here but it is hard to argue with album sales. I think she's bigger than Lorde at the moment but I don't think she's bigger than Lorde was in 13-14. They're both really good but Melodrama>When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go, easily. But that's a different argument.
I have to wonder how they’d compare if Lorde and Royals also came out in the current streaming era.
In fairness, it mostly did. Maybe not the same level of infrastructure there is now, but I've had Spotify Premium since before then.
Quick look at Spotify sub numbers shows them at 18 million in 2015. They hit 100 million subs this year, that’s a massive difference. 2013 was also pre-Apple Music and Tidal (lol). Spotify didn’t have their recommendation home page until 2015.
Things are definitely different now. In my mind it’s hard to compare album pre-saves, something that is free once you exclude the main subscription fee, and actual physical/digital purchases. And this isn’t to downplay Billie’s numbers either. She did break some record for vinyls sold too. She’s doing incredibly well in both digital and physical formats.
Ah, I always just go by who plays the main stage last (unless they are specifically split like Arctic Monkeys/Travis Scott last year). Probably will be the case with The Cure too. That LCD set definitely didn't feel headliner-esque compared to seeing them at other venues in 2016.
