For some reason I really don't see ACL having Tool. All of Maynard's acts made sense for Voodoo, and I could maybe see them play Lolla because of their history, but they seem out of place for the Austin fest.

Blind presale up. "free shipping" but it's the exact same price as i paid for my full price tickets for this year using standard mail at no cost, so not sure if that means general tickets are going to go up.
also added a GA+ which just seems to be in between GA/VIP in price. shade, water, restrooms, but less than the VIP?
it's only for people who bought tickets this year, and seems like these will be the prices when all tickets are released.

You're saying when all tickets are released the price for GA will be the same as the GA+ presale ($425)?

there's no blind discount.
like this early bird isn't a price point, it's just "hey you bought tickets last year, lock next years in now". I'm assuming that means when they release the lineup/tickets, it will be the same price.
the GA+ is separate and can be purchased now for more than GA, and I'm assuming will be an option when lineup drops (but it's probably pretty limited since it's pretty bare bones compared to VIP)

I went to the website and tickets are open to all, I didn't buy last year and I am not logged in (I have bought since 2013 excluding last year). $255 for GA with or without Collectable Credentials.

lol thats even dumber. so yeah, it's just blind presale but there doesn't seem to be any incentive other than "free shipping"

I feel like if they didn't sell out instantly for Paul and Metallica they're never going to. Friday passes went quick and cost me a fortune secondhand, (felt like I should just buy a three-day and try to find other people to give it to after Friday) but I'm surprised three-days didn't at least get gobbled up by scalpers.
It’s a well deserved mention. Musically, it was great. Production lacked at times (Deftones in particular, though not the only hiccup). And they need to add more shade at that MFer. Musically it was up there with Jazz Fest (+night shows) for me. I went to Buku, Backwoods at Mulberry, Jazz Fest, Float Fest, ACL and Voodoo. Voodoo was by far the funnest, but I’ll give it up for ACL for music based on Metallica and McCartney both in my Top 5 of the year.

ACL was good as shit despite my skipping basically a days' worth of the festival (everything but the headliner Saturday, headliners Sunday). Killer time. Kinda sad ACL has surpassed Bonnaroo the past couple years but until further notice it has.
Fuck a Metallica-Justice conflict when Sunday is Arctic Monkeys-Travis Scott til the day I die (heh) tho.
